8.6/10. Yet another quality episode. I'm starting to think that this show has really found its groove. Of course, that the babies were force sensitive wasn't a big surprise to anyone who's watched The Clone Wars, as Ahsoka pointed out, but they still made for a pair of pretty adorable McGuffins and created some interesting conflicts for our heroes. Zeb carrying around Li'l Pepi had some nice shades of Monsters Inc.
I'm also enjoying The Inquisitors as antagonists this season. They're capable, but not overwhelmingly so, so they pose a believable threat, but it also makes sense that the good guys can escape, even if they don't always best their foes. Seeing Ezra, Zeb, and Kanan work together to find creative ways to escape this pair who clearly outclasses them, while having to protect a little crying thing in the process made for some very nice sequences. The distracting escape through the tower, and the ensuing speeder chase was the show at its action-y kinetic best.
Of course, the coolest moment in the episode came when the Seventh Sister (who's delightfully malevolent) and the Fifth Brother (who's more of a generic brute) caught up to and knocked out the good guys. It was then that Ahsoka got her Big Damn Hero moment, and what a moment it was! Seeing her stroll confidently onto the battlefield, unleash those two white lightsabers, and single-handedly top both the aspiring Sith was a fist pump moment if I've ever seen one. I loved the touch that Ezra trusted her not to need rescuing, and that if they got out and protected the kids, she'd find her way to them.
There's some weird undertones to the episode--Seventh Sister telling Ahsoka "who doesn't want to be a mother" felt particularly odd--but overall it was an exciting mission with big Jedi implications, some nice continuity nods, and great moments for everyone in the episode. Rebels is really coming into its own.
Ahsoka!!!!!!!!!! (Also I keep forgetting to comment this, but the Inquisitors' spinny lightsabers are so cringe)
I Know Why You Want The Children
Very interesting storyline and something that was a bit neglected. Palpatine pretty much wiped out the Jedi but that never meant the Force stopped "producing" sensitive children.
It's funny really that there seem to be many Inquisitors aspiring to be Sith. By their own rule there can always be two, right ? And I wonder, if there is a Fifth Brother and a Seventh Sister is that an indication for their numbers and/or some kind of rating ? If One would be the best it would explain some things.
7.5/10 - Yay, we finally see Ahsoka again :) :D
I agree: "[...] it's always good to see you."
And it's nice that they seem to use Ahsoka's theme a lot <3
Ahsoka flying a small ship reminds me of the good old days - I hope that there will be some awesome space combat scenes with her but I'm not sure if that'll really happen (with R2D2 it'd be extra cool - I'm kinda shocked that R2D2 isn't already with her but it would kinda interfere with the main movies and she somehow didn't seem to know what happened to Anakin).
Ezra revealing their location was bad/unfortunate.
The force sensitive children could result in a nice bigger story.
And the ending was 10/10 - finally a scene of Ahsoka fighting! I still love her fast and acrobatic style with two lightsabers the most. That move where she caught and powered off the lightsaber was particularly cool as it was something new for her (IIRC) and show's that she's grown up and is both more patient and more skilled now.
"You're beat."
[Rewatch] This felt very Clone Wars but unfortunately not in a good way, more or less taking an episode that had already been done and giving it a new coat of paint. Ahsoka and the Seventh Sister continue to be great though, it's just a shame how mediocre the surrounding story was.

Ahsoka Tano is so awesome.
