The writers started season 2 off with the same bang that ended season 1. I really enjoyed the story and although it didn't end on a particularly good note, it ended with a great cliffhanger. But I must say, I can't believe that the temple wasn't swarming with Jedi trying to find Cad Bane or even waiting for him in the library, and only Obi-Wan and Anakin were looking for him. How would I be able to trust protectors of the galaxy if they can't even protect their own temple??? Especially Yoda, who knew what was happening but Cad Bane was somehow still able to walk away at the end. Smh. Other than that, I liked this episode. It was also fun to see Ahsoka's fight scene towards the end.
That little droid was so cute! Thank you for your service :sob:
This was my first Clone Wars episode in a while, but I enjoyed it. The plot kept me hooked, the animation was great, and there was plenty of action. Despite what some people say about it, I like this series.
Content Concerns:
Sex: None. 5/5
Nudity: Ahsoka's usual bare-midriff outfit. 4/5
Language: Name-calling. 4/5
Violence: Sci-fi action violence throughout. 3/5
Drugs: None. 5/5
Frightening/Intense Scenes: A mildly scary villain. 4/5
Score: 4/5
Not as many of the classic heist story tropes as I expected but it was solid none the less. Not sure I'm a fan of the force acting as a warning sign for the jedi so prominently.
suspenseful and thrilling what a fine episode to kick off the season
This one started off pretty weak, with a generic "Ahsoka is overzealous and Anakin has to teach her a lesson" story. But once the episode focused more on Bane and his motley cohort's plan to infiltrate the holocron repository, business picked up. Bane was instantly a pretty interesting and imposing figure, from his Clint Eastwood-like get up, to his Werner Herzog-esque voice, to his general air of being in control while mildly annoyed with everyone else who crosses his path. There's an imposingness and cool factor to him that's been missing in most of the villains in this show, and the prequel universe for that matter.
At the same time, Todo 360 put Seth Green to good use in a character who felt like a commendable twist on C-3PO, and bringing back the shape-shifting assassin from Attack of the Clones was an interesting twist as well. Plus, the cinematography and design in this one was pretty stellar, with sweeping shots and dark lighting that gave the episode a more cinematic feel. As is often the case with Clone Wars, there was a little too much exposition, but the misdirection from the bounty hunters and Ahsoka being the one who more or less saved the day was a nice way to keep the story moving but wrap things up in a nice way at the end.

This was a much better episode than most of the stuff in season 1! Would recommend it as a good place for people to pick up Clone Wars!
