I'll be honest, the whole fake death, face-changing business is a little far fetched, even for Star Wars. I'm not saying it's implausible in a world of robots and magic, but it just doesn't seem to fit with the universe. That aside, I appreciate Anakin's angry grief, and the excuse that he didn't kill the "bounty hunter" because it's not what Obi Wan would have wanted.
And hey, things picked up in particular once Obi Wan infiltrated the prison. Getting an episode that focuses on the bad guys, from the vaguely Heath Ledger-esque Moralo to a cameo from Baby Boba & pals to the always welcome return of Cad Bane, was an interesting place to take the show. Obi Wan having to prove his mettle in the prison, and get in good enough with the baddie to be a part of their escape worked well. Cad Bane's suspicion added some intrigue to the material, as did the whole double agent angle. The action wasn't the prettiest the show's ever done, but it was plenty exciting, and seeing Obi Wan trying to seem bad, but not actually kill or hurt anyone created for some interesting moments.
The larger plot of ferreting out the plan to kill the Emperor doesn't do that much for me, but the story that goes along with it of Obi Wan infiltrating the villains works like gangbusters. I'm interested to see where this one goes.
