Weird that Dr. Weir is already played by someone else. Surely the production team knew at the end of season 7 that they'd need her back, and held Jessica Steen's availability for when filming resumed for season 8? Jarring that they didn't even match hair colors.
I liked Teal'c better without the fro.
I'm liking the start of the season. Higginson is a better Weir. It's a pleasure to see Bacic again, even if he is on the wrong side now. The negotiations with the System Lords is entirely entertaining. And Carter finally has a decent haircut (and really looking good). And best of all, no O'Neill!

Just a couple of episodes ago, they were still using floppy disks to transfer secure data. I'm glad to see that they have suddenly transitioned to memory sticks, but they seem to have just skipped right over CDs!
