This is such a great episode! Absolutely loved the writing. Very well acted. Lots of great character development.
Another episode with a great couple scenes for Greer. The amount of emotion he shows for his other self failing to protect the people on the recording speaks volumes for how much his duty is important to him.
He is definitely a complex character. Probably the most complex in the series thus far.

Too funny! While the confessions from a few episodes back were dumb, the general documentation of the mission is a good idea.
Even though it startet out as a filler episode, I think in the end, the episode was as important as the others for the characters. I mean they maybe could have done it in a way that was more implemented in some kind of "main story" and they should have focused on that character angle way more in my opinion, but again in the end it was still worth it I think. :)
And I enjoyed the change in style for the story on the planet. The "kino stories" are probably the most powerful thing emotionally for the characters they came up with in this show. (probably already done in other shows, but it still works)
Oh and it's kind of ironic to watch this episode again after all these years exactly in Covid-2020... XD
sas a sidenote: Why doesn't at least some of these actors and actresses get more work these days? There have been some exception of course, but I mean Robert Carlyle alone was just amazing in this show. Where is he?? :smile:
But that's just a general question I have. Not because of this particular episode. :)

This worked way better than the story outline makes you think it will, I think it's because they actually managed to sneak in lot of character work, and manage to have impactful deaths of important characters, even if it's only for the episode. Compared to any SG1 gate time travel story, this is so much better.
