Sawako (Ryoko Hirosue) was dumped by her husband and since then she has raised her three sons alone. One day, she happens to meet a young man (Sota Fukushi) who is dying. She falls in love with him at first sight. The young man also suffers from memory loss. Sawako names him Hoshio. Taking advantage of his memory loss, she decides to make him live with her and as the father of her three sons. Now, Sawako, her three sons, her grandmother and Hoshio all live together. Sawako hopes Hoshio never regains his memory. Hoshio also begins to develop feelings for her. Whenever Sawako has troubles, Hoshio helps her out with his mysterious ability. Hoshio's past is also a mysterious. A mystery that is finally revealed.

Uno Sawako lives a quiet life out in the countryside with her three sons and mother. Seems her husband has run off on her, but Sawako's determined to keep moving forward with a smile. One day she nearly runs into a handsome young man standing in the middle of the road, where he promptly collapses. Taking him home and finding out he has amnesia, Sawako determines to take advantage of that and turn him into her new husband, whom she names "Hoshio" or "Starman." Things seem to be starting off well, but there's something not quite right about the mysterious Hoshio…

Sawako goes out on a date with Hoshio and tells him the story of how they met. Before that though, Hoshio struggles with both his lack of memory as well as his lack of skills. Meanwhile, a mysterious woman appears in town and she's looking for Hoshio as well…

Sawako finds the strange woman who has invaded her home has some connection to Hoshio, forcing her to come clean about all her lies. Hoshio reluctantly leaves, but it isn't long before the situation changes once more as other strange new events start occuring that may bring Hoshio back to Sawako…

Sawako's runaway husband returns to make a difficult situation even more so; meanwhile Hoshio decides he needs to do more to be a father. Shoko sets up a communication device aimed at the stars, but she seems to be communicating with people closer by...

Hoshio's change of personality provides Sawako with yet another challenge... but she might end up wishing for the old Hoshio instead. Still, his change will affect the many people around them and bring out some new secrets as well…

Hoshio is getting along well with his new family, but he's beginning to realize he may not be the only one in his body. Meanwhile Sawako worries that what's happening may be too good to last while Shoko expresses her feeling to Shigeta...

Hoshio and Shigeta try to explain everything to Sawako and her family, but Sawako has more personal issues on her mind. Meanwhile Shoko insinuates herself into Shigeta's family; much to his consternation. But with the sudden appearance of a bright light in the night skies, things may be changing once again…

While Sawako learns about what it's like to live with a space alien from Shigeta's wife, Hoshio and Shigeta talk about life on Earth. Meanwhile though, Sawako worries about just what sort of love they have while Shoko finds out a shocking secret concerning her own past…

Hoshio gets a job and finds himself having to use his powers to save a coworker. In the meantime, Sawako finds herself in the middle of a fight at her own work that may expose one of the aliens among her. But that distraction is set aside when it appears that her oldest son, Dai, may have run away from home...

Hoshio and the other aliens get a visit from space, but it turns out not to be quite for who they expected. Just as Sawako and Hoshio's relationship seems to have found its groove at last, a new and surprising distraction comes along that will change both their lives...
