After being shot by a Shadow Dragon, Adam lays comatose in a hospital bed, dreaming that he is on trial for the unjustified death of Michael Sunks, the man he and Dennis were chasing when Dennis died.

But what Beaudreaux doesn't know is that Hardin regained consciousness and has been walking around, and has accepted a job. Grady finds out who he is working for, and he and Beaudreaux get Hardin and this time he is dead.
After Adam accidentally shoots the son of a terrorist, he returns the 'favor' by shooting Malloy. Even though Malloy is under house arrest, Grady and Miguel manage to get word to him that Malloy is dead, and the three of them go after Nidar.
