Out of the two recent premieres, Emergence, and Prodigal Son, that I recently watched, this was the mediocre one. It failed to capture my interest. I'll still be watching it, though, and with the hope that it'll succeed at capturing my interest, quickly. The premise isn't all that interesting, so I'm not expecting that to happen. But like I said, I'll still be watching it.

As soon as I saw who the three main actors for this show were, I was in! I didn't even bother with what this show is about. And I was not disappointed. It's not looking to be a groundbreaking show, but here's some sort of a fun Veronica Mars vibe to it, minus the dad and with a whole lot of extra emotional baggage.
Dex's one night stand with Hoffman felt forced (they didn't really establish a proper chemistry between the two beforehand) but, apart from that, this series premiere was alright.
And I really like Dex's broken cassette player, it keeps churning out the best tunes!

Not bad but too early to tell if it's a keeper. I see the potential, let's see if the storyline picks up.

Cobie Smulders is excellent, yet a lot feels cliche. Even the cassette tape stuck in her car. Was stolen from an episode of her former show How I Met Your Mother.
Still, Smulders and an excellent supporting cast might make it worth sticking with.

This is the only episode I will be watching. And to be honest, I stopped it twice before thinking I can't comment if I don't persevere.

I can't tell what is wrong with this. The acting was ok (better than same, especially on episode 1), the story was alright, the plot twists are no more predictable than most other shows, it had the right amount of prescribed quirkiness, but it just didn't engage me.

I can imagine that 10 years ago, this show would have been awesome. But Hey Studio folks, please stop making stuff just because you can and you have a quota - make something interesting and original...

This is what would’ve happened if Nick Miller moved to Oregon instead of California. I really liked the pilot and I’m interested in Dex, I want to see more imperfect women on tv.

I'm a sucker for a good in-car-brawl, and the one near the beginning was fun. I liked how the bad guys were just singing along with the song before it happened, including the Kenya-thing just before that. It made them a bit more... human, I would say, as I'm not sure if sympathetic is the right word - but it's not wrong either.
And it does have some Veronica Mars-vibes to it, just with a more forked up female lead character - which can be really interesting if you can pull it off. And so far, it's working. Looking forward to see more of it.

This is really good! Hopefully its ratings go even higher in season 2

Much better than the clunky trailer which showed all the craziest action in advance and made it look hokey.

Finally got around to watching this from my DVR. The first half of the recording was some video game tournament. How stupid to have the very first episode of a brand new show start late because of a video game thing. Clearly not worth my time if they think so little of it themselves.
