Just as Jim Dunnigan is preparing to step down from his position as interim athletic director, he finds himself embroiled in more Glory drama; the school's two star basketball players are drafted into the European basketball pro league by Jim's nemesis.
As if the poaching of Glory's two star basketball players wasn't enough, Roger Seething is now attempting to steal the legendary Coach Wayne from the men's team. Jim attempts to divert media attention by focusing on the women's coach, and her 800th win.
Roger unveils his new NBA expansion team, the Louisiana Vengeance. Jim promises Luther a meeting with DIRECTV in return for getting the Vengeance to drop their persuit of Coach Wayne.
Jim's negotiations with Roger and Coach Wayne are in their final stages, but in order to meet Wayne's extravagant demands, Jim must organize a late-night fundraiser aimed at the alumni. At the fundraiser, Jim confronts Linus, the interm chancellor.
Jim is willing to go to any lengths to get Jan Bigsby to step in as the new men's coach -- even if it means violating NCAA regulations. Meanwhile, a three-hour scouting trip reveals that the only available recruits are 10-year-olds.
Coach Jan reluctantly accepts the position as head coach for the men's team. Unfortunately, without their star players, Glory cannot make it into the NCAA tournament. Meanwhile, Luther butts heads with the other owners of the Louisiana Vengeance.
Jim finally gets the upper hand on Roger by postponing the building of the Louisiana Vengeance stadium, but he is still in hot water with the Glory board. Roger blindsides Jim with his knowledge of the illegal recruitment of Alyssa Lido.
Thanks to the help of Luther "Deep Throat" Montague, Jim finds a way to outsmart Roger once and for all. However, a ticking "time bomb" left by Roger brings back an old friend.
