edit 2: No idea why it's barely showing up anywhere, but ... Season 4 is coming to HBO Max on June 17
First 4 episodes of Season 3 just got released !!
edit: 3 more, so first 7 !
I love this show so much. Honestly between the beautiful aesthetics - the overall style, the color palette, the way it's animated... It has a kind of classic/vintage cartoon feel to it, all while adding it's own spin on top of that - making it a truly unique show that is just one of a kind in every way. i love how alive everything is, with the little faces on every little thing - and the time babies
When I started watching it, I really didn't know what I was in for - and to my surprise, I found one of the most fun shows I think I've seen in my life? Just the sheer amount of creativity that went into the art alone makes it fun to watch, but I also love the music, characters and I really love the whole storyline.
Also the jokes are just amazing, I mean the writing is so good! The life stuff - it really gets me. It's why I love the show so much, jokes that are relatable. I'm 34, and watching this show - it's one of my favorites for so many reasons.
Season 5 was really good. Tbh they all are :yellow_heart: really hoping we find out what happened to Suzie's sister this season
When I thought they wouldn't be finishing the 6th season, I was quite devastated. Glad it's back
I usually describe the arc of Adventure time as being a show that was just kind of taking random stabs in the dark with its episodic storytelling and then eventually accumulated enough worldbuilding to start telling cohesive stories about all the incredible characters it had accumulated. With productions in the wake of Adventure Time like Steven Universe, you start to see a more cohesive and considered approach to worldbuilding, working up to larger things that are seeded RIGHT from the get-go, in ways that really reward the fandom and close consideration and rewatches and all that. Summer Camp Island takes a bit to get its engine going, but is in that same Steven Universe model. It knows what it's doing, it's doing it really well, and I'm enjoying the journey.
Season 5's anthology approach has been really nice. I don't know if it's necessarily a good starting point, but if you're curious about some of the stuff this show is doing but don't want to commit to the whole thing, I think you could treat season 5 as a kind of Over the Garden Wall-style miniseries.

Something between Over the Garden Wall and Adventure time. Cute stuff, magic, animals, monsters and witches. There is everything and it is awesome. I loved this show since my first watched episode. I need more series right now!
