Lex Luthor baits the Super Friends into stealing priceless artifacts via mind control. The next day, the JLA finds out what they did and turn themselves in. Unknown to the heroes it's actually a trap to hurl them into the sun. The guards then unmask themselves and are revealed to be Bizarro and Cheetah. They use a device to paralyze the Superfriends, then send their cage into space. Meanwhile, the Legion of Doom gets control of the Justice League satellite and turns everyone on Earth into Bizarros and Cheetahs to loot and pillage the world. Wonder Woman is able to use her telepathic control over her lasso to make an asteroid strike the cell and free the Superfriends. The Superfriends disguise themselves as the duplicates, turn everybody back, and try to use the Dream Machine to capture the Legion. However Lex Luthor later contacts them and reveals the machine doesn't work on them, meaning they have escaped.
