OK, I'm hooked, and it's mostly due to Melissa Benoist. Such a great casting choice. She's amazing - so quirky, beautiful and charming - perfect for this role.

This was a good episode, the acting was superb as was the storyline. My only issue is how many times Superman is mention in this one 40 minute episode. I do understand that he is Kara's cousin but I feel like the amount of times his name cropped up was just a tad unnecessary
love Melissa she is so awesome to play Supergirl Kara she is doing it and i do love Ms Grant she got spunk and wow she wants an interview with Supergirl what a shocker lol but glad that Kara gave James the okay to grant that interview there is such a respect and being her own hero away from her cousin Superman

So far I find Calista Flockhart's portrayal of Ms. Grant not at all convincing--although I suppose no one can ever be as good as Meryl Streep in performing as an exacting boss. Other than that, Melissa Benoist makes for a fantastic Supergirl!
Episode kind of boring, beyond which are talking about Superman every 2 minutes. Very different from the Pilot.
