3x13 Both Sides Now

Wow, I really liked this episode. There were a couple of things that bothered me, but I'll leave them for the end.
I loved the actress playing Purity. She was amazing at switching on and off constantly. She really sold the evil look and the lovely and helpful side of Julia. Her inner struggle was one of the best parts of the episode. However, her powers were a little off. She's kind of a mixture between Kryptonian, Black Siren, and the Banshee from season 1. Kara showing her mercy and her willingness to help was the dire t opposite of Alex's attitude. This might be the first time that I didn't like Alex on the show, which I thought wasn't possible. When I saw her pointing the gun at Julia at the beginning of the episode I couldn't believe. That doesn't fit Alex's character, noting the slightest. Then, we got another Maggie mention. At this point, I'm starting to get convinced that somehow she'll be back on the show, hopefully, with a rather interesting story that goes beyond being Alex's girlfriend.
Mon-El admitting he was a self-absorbed and misogynist guy was good. However, I hate all this The CW manufactured drama. He loves Kara, but he's married to Imra. Just stop it. Kara deserves better than to get her hopes high and then her heart crushed and Imra deserves better than to be cheated. Still think she's up to no good, though. At least Imra confessed she and Brainy had other plans for going back (maybe end the Worldkillers? or help them?).
I alwayshate when shows misuse important and vital character who could definitely balance out a fight. It was quite convenient that J'onn opulent hold that column by himself and somehow he managed to do it immediately after Purity was gone. The same with Mon-El, who mysteriously recovered when there was nothing else to do.
The Sam/Lena stuff today was great. That final scene was outstanding. It brings me joy to know that Lena knows what's happening to Sam. I just hope she saw her flashing red eyes. At this point with Lena, I don't know what to think.

You know what's the worst part of all of this? That we've got to wait until April freaking 16 for the show to be back. I hate breaks as much as the next, but 2 freaking months? I know its all because of the Andrew Kreisberg's scandal, although they say it's just products ton stuff, but that's way too much time. Let's just hope the writing and the quality this show has had this season remains. Oh, and let's enjoy Legends on the meantime.
