Mostly good, but Supes shudda ditched Lois and went for Lana long ago.

I like superheroes as much as the next guy and I've read my share of comics in my youth. I never got into Superman, though. Don't like him much. That whole invincible, Man of Steel stuff and the underlying patriotism just never clicked. And don't get me started about the romance.
Having said that this show was for the most part really good. Some really good writing and coherent stories. Seemed alltogether more suited for adults than children. Although you could do things different back then.

This is the perfect companion to Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.

Whereas that show is grounded, this goes to the moon. This show is more about Superman than Clark, and it's about his adventures and battles with powerful beings whether they're aliens or humans with advanced powers or great technology.

It's a good companion to Lois & Clark because that show is more about Clark and Lois' develping relationship while dealing with more grounded threats, and their continuing investigative work at the Daily Planet. With the extra runtime of episodes and the grounded focus it allows the characters to be more fleshed out.

They are two different takes on Superman but they keep the core of what the characters are and what the world is like.

But even in this show it's still surprisingly really good. What Lois & Clark lacked, this show makes up for and vice versa. Seeing more of Superman, seeing more great fights, it's really cool. But the show isn't all about action, there's a lot of really good stories here, stories with depth and nuance and good continuity.
