Wow. My first ever 10 for an episode (for any tv show). I friggin loved Lucifer going hungry and cold and bitter and asking for money. Whoever thought of that entire scene deserves a raise... that was frigging briliant. The show went dead a little these past 5 episodes with filler action, the boys aren't properly used...I'm glad at least Lucifer gets the spotlight
HOLY SHIT THIS GONNA BE AWESOME
Oh, Rachel... And I thought Dan Scott had been a bad enough choice of partnership.
I'm glad they're at least propping up Asmodeus a bit. He seemed way too weak for a "Big Bad" thus far.
GABRIEL OH MY GODDDDDDDDDD LETS GOOOOOO!!!!!!
The Jack stuff was so interesting, and they shelve that for more angel ridiculousness. I’m so over the involvement of angels, who have always been far from angelic. It has never made sense to me. Ugh.
WHAT. The what. Omg. Aaaaah
Great ep! We're in deep in angels stuff! Seeing Ketch again pleading with the boys is always making things interesting at most! And Gabriel is back! Man.... What the hell?! Little Asmodeus been working a lot hehe. Can't wait!
"Allow me to make an introduction. Mr Ketch, meet the archangel Gabriel". Screams internally
Jaw-dropping moment. Holy crap! I'm utterly speechless. That was so unexpected. I've been waiting years for good old Gabriel to come back, or at least any version of him, but holy crap, that last scene hit me in ways I didn't expect. I can't believe the effect Gabriel has had on me in just six episodes he's been in. I saw him there and I almost fainted. I just LOVE him so damn much. But that last scene left a bitter taste in my mouth. It gave the the goosebumps. Seeing Gabriel like that, mouth sewn, it really hurt and it brought a chill down my spine. It was a mixture of sheer bliss, sadness, anger, confusion and fear for what's to come. I'm pretty sure there's a word in German that comprises all of that.
At this point, if I see someone in a single colour suit, no matter which, pouring some whisky in that asylum within the last two minutes of Supernatural, I'm automatically assuming that he has an archangel locked.
I have so many mixed feelings about this episode. There was so much stuff going and I'm as exited as I am confused, that I don't even know where to start. I think this episode could be summed up in Donatello's words: "The usual. Bewildered".
Maybe it's because I'm sick, sleep depraved or whatever but my head hurts of thinking that much at this time at night. The episode left me with innumerable questions that I hope get answered in future episodes. You know how the Buck-Lemming episodes work, so I always tend to think the worst. So many key players that, for once in the 13 years of this show, I have no freaking idea where we're going.
Just when I thought that the plot was slowly moving forward and establishing every character's motivations and goals, they drop another freaking bomb on us. A very nice bomb, btw. Honestly, I have no freaking clue how all of this is gonna tie together. I can only imagine but as many key players as there are now, other universes, doppelgängers, etc., it's getting really confusing. But you know what? I love that Supernatural keeps on surprising me and making me pick my jaw from the floor after 13 years.
Although the pace was a little bit off, I loved the end result, especially the character interactions. It was a damn rollercoaster ride.
I loved Danneel. She's a great character with great potential that I hope doesn't get wasted. I'm so happy she turned out to be an angel and not a faith healer. She's so interesting and her background gave me the impression that she was presented with the opportunity of showing the rest of the angels that she's much more than a button-pusher. She was great and I enjoyed her interactions with Lucifer a lot. It's clear that she's manipulating Lucifer so that he ends up doing her biding and when he least expects it, she's gonna grab the throne for herself. She really has that motivation to step forward and show what she's capable of. And finally we get an interesting angel.
But let's talk about my poor baby Gabriel. I'm just assuming he's the real one, basically because how the hell could an alternate universe Gabriel have come to this universe if there was no rift open? I never truly bought the whole "Lucifer killed Gabriel", especially since to kill an archangel you need an archangel blade and not a common angel one. However, I remember Chuck saying back in season 11 that Gabriel was dead and that it would take a whole bunch of power to bring him back. So I'm just assuming this is the original Gabe, who faked his death back in season 5 and somehow got kidnapped by Asmodeus. I don't think Asmodeus is powerful enough to bring an archangel back. I'm so excited I can't wait to see how they explain his return. But it's poetic, isn't it? That Gabriel should be the one to kill Lucifer. By the way, how cool was that archangel blade? Man, I loved it!
Now I guess that having Gabriel back explains the upcoming Scooby Doo episode. That's on his wheelhouse.
We saw the demon tablet again! I thought the writers forgot about that. If I recall correctly, last time we saw it was in season 11 episode 6, when Cas took it from Metatron. Seeing Donatello reading the Demon tablet made me realize how much I miss Kevin. And now, Donatello is under some sort of spell and has to inform Asmodeus about everything he finds out. That was very naive for his part. Donatello has seen with his very own eyed that Asmodeus is able to shape shift and yet, he fell for the trick (again).
With every episode I love Asmodeus even more. Jeffrey Vincent Parise is great in that role. He seems so menacing, especially since he has taught himself some abilities. I also love his interactions with Ketch. They're great together. Speaking of Ketch, I've got a love-hate feeling thing going on with him. I think I just love to hate him. Apparently, he now wants to help the boys and exchange information. Wtf? I still don't trust him. I loved his answer to Sam's " How do you get out of the trunk?", "I'm Ketch", lol.
One of my favourite moments was when Can put Ketch to sleep because he was done with his bullshit. I love this new improved Cas and how he doesn't give e a fuck about anything. Cas was amazing at the beginning of the episode. I just loved how cool he was while explaining things that would blow everyone's minds. And meanwhile, poor Sam was hurting the minute he heard the name Lucifer and Dean had the "I'm out. I'm done. Quit. Not the apocalypse shit again".
Only on Supernatural could you see Lucifer, the Devil himself, begging for money, trying to run Heaven with a "Hail to the king, baby", and reading the Bible and saying "Dad's always stealing my best lines, man".
Man, angels need to get slapped in the face. Are they really that stupid to bow down to Lucifer, or is it a matter of desperate times, desperate measures? I just hope it's the latter, but man, you really think the Devil is going to do as you ask?
I just love the way Lucifer addresses people staring St him in the street: "What? What are you gawking at? You've never seen the Prince of Darkness before, pal? Turn around!"
I loved the little KFC joke. Evil Colonel Sanders not liking chicken wings was too funny.
Ketch's reference to the being "the lesser of at least three evils" was great, too. I guess it's Lucifer, Asmodeus and Michael. But there're still more possibilities to go, and let's see what happens with Rowena.
Overall, and despite the off-pace, the episode was a highlight this season. The alliances and interactions between the characters are perfectly smooth and I'm so looking forward to seeing how it all plays out. It's a damn pity that we have to wait for like 3 weeks to have some answers. But after waiting years for Gabriel to come back (or at least any version of him) is worth the wait.
This is one of my favorite episode.
oh yeah, we gonna see some whup ass now. This is going to be some set of fireworks.

I accidentally read a spoiler about that reveal at the end which is lucky because if I had not known about it I probably would have died. I am so happy to see him back!
This was a pretty good episode too I liked Sister Jo but are the angels actually that stupid to literally bow down to Lucifer? I guess they have always been desperate for someone to lead. I love the angel plot anyway so I'm glad it's going somewhere instead of just their half-hearted attempts to get Jack.
