You should definitely read the manga, it’s 100% better. But I can see the elements and changes they made to make the anime it’s own thing. Still rather love and would choose the manga any day though.
The season started strong with a fun world, strong abilities and interesting takes on the creatures and mechanics. However, the later parts drag on with boring side stories and little happens. The character interacts with little of the world and the show tires quickly.
