John is only trying to help with the investigation, why is Laszlo such a prick to him? I hope they stop their childish bickering and work together, because otherwise the killer is always one step ahead of them.
I feel like the show is now fully starting. It's somehow still interesting to watch even though I find the characters very shallow, there is not enough chemistry between any of them. Kreizler reminds me of Sherlock Holmes, not very social, very smart, but not as likeable as Holmes. I'm not sure yet but I am invested in this plot now.
I have now watched this episode 4 times, trying to decide where they are taking this murder investigation, in comparison to the book. I am not sure I like the way that is going, because I am so fond of the source, but oh, do I love where they are taking the characters! I love how they are exploring the rivalry between John and Lazlo, which is not really something that happens in the book, even though the Mary plot is faithful enough. I am quite enjoying all these new interpretations, and Dakota Fanning is coming off so well as Miss Howard! I cannot wait until we see more of Cyrus and Steve as well. Will Kat make an appearance, I wonder? Ah, I am looking forward to this!
Why is it always syphilis? I mean, sure it can be backed up but still... At least since it came up this soon I can hope it won't be that important in the long run.
Kreizler is a really intriguing character. The more I know, the more I need to find out about him.
