Although the first 4 and last 4 minutes are previews of the rest of the series, this episode was well done. A bit of artistic license was taken to make the stories more appealing to a modern audience, but the stories of this episode follow the Genesis accounts pretty well. While I was saddened by the portrayal of Abraham's visitors as God, in the form of Christ, and two angels, rather than the Trinitarian interpretation among Christians, I imagine this was done so as to accommodate Jewish viewers. The battle scene of the angels mowing down Sodomites seemed to be an excuse to show more blood and portray God as more violent that the Bible actually describes. This episode skips a great deal of the story of the relationship between God and man contained in the Bible to get to stories more like modern movies, including more conflict and more violence. Overall, a decent representation of the stories chosen, but adding a bit too much to be a good retelling.
