The first season started with a police investigation following the discovery of a dead body on the Øresund Bridge connecting Sweden and Denmark. It was first broadcast on SVT1 and DR1 during the autumn of 2011.

Saga Noren from the County Crimea Malmo and Martin Rohde from Copenhagen police are called to the scene. What at first appears to be a murder turns out to be two. The upper body is from a well-known Swedish politician and the lower body from a Danish prostitute.
