Well, this kind of makes up for Whiskey Cavalier. Intense, focused, serious stakes.
I like the character Deb Carpenter portrays, and how they show the camera narrowing in on all the details she's picking up on.
A decent pilot. I like both leads well enough, especially Erica. I felt the writing was way, way to fast. The 'reveal' about what happened to Erica shouldn't have been disclosed until mid-season at least, and the new traitor should have been kept quiet too.
Hopeful that this continues to be a character-lead show, as the writing has some holes in it as it stands.
I found the sound very, VERY bad and the acting of both leads to be sub standard
The only thing I could think about watching this episode was why she had mascara on when she was locked up in that cell :frowning:

Well it was clear that the cia girl is a spy, why should they let her live anyway
Worst traitor in 50 years...
Makes you guess who the F those 4 people were or at least who they killed to have such an honor.
Since I'm not american I am not that well versed in US history, but I definitely know, that the cold war ended 1989.
That means the last 50 years include 20 years of cold war.
And there were pretty big traitors in it. Some of them gave away NATO ATOMIC TOP SECRET Documents. Even if no one died as a direct consequence of those actions - That is a much bigger deal than 4 CIA Agents dead...
BUT: Despite that it had decent writing.
I would have liked to have her be a 100% opportunist, instead of being a victim - but the reveal was pretty decent (I didn't watch the preview...).
I'm liking it so far. The moment Anna Cruz was in the hospital, I knew that's exactly what Tal wanted. I'm interested to see how this all plays out.
Overly dramatic first episode & another english production needing some of that Lendlease money spent on a tripod to put the handy cam on

The premise of this piss me off from the start. From the beginning they kept calling her a traitor, the worst in the last 50 years, she got 4 people killed. Having watched the preview the audience was aware she gave the names of 4 people to save her daughter. Yes it was still a crime but it put her no where near the likes of Aldrich Ames or Robert Hanssen. Both of whom were in the last 50 years and got way more than 4 people killed. She was more a victim than a criminal.
Finally near the end of the hour (with her new nickname Hannibal Lecter in place) she tells the FBI dude that she didn't tell anyone, not even at her trial, that she had been forced. She would rather her daughter (and everyone else) believe she was this big sellout traitor rather than have her think 4 people died to keep her safe. These were all people who signed up to do just that. People whose jobs were to put themselves between harms way and the American people.
That was so stupid! It was like the writers and producer just wanted to slap us with their stupidity.
