I hope they can release a tv movie to finish it off.
Though short-lived, NBC’s sci-fi series The Event delivered a thrilling and action-packed adventure. The show follows several characters whose stories intertwine as a terrorist name Thomas attempts to force the President to free a group of detainees from another world who are being held at a secret U.S. prison. The storytelling is a bit problematic with time jumps and switches to seemingly unrelated character stories. But by mid-season this is tightened up and becomes more fluid and engaging. The show also does an impressive job at creating interesting characters that have some ambiguity, and switch between hero and villain as the season unfolds. Still, there are a number of failed subplot and mysteries that are never answered or don’t add much to the overall story arc. While it was problematic at times, The Event ultimately proved to be an exciting and compelling series worthy of more than the one season it got.
All in all a good show.
It had a dip around the middle of the season where both the global story and the intensity of the episodes became 'meh'. Toward the end of the season it picks up speed again.
It's a pity they lost a lot of viewers because of an idiotic broadcasting scheme though. If you broadcast a serialized drama you can't take a break of several months, followed by an episode once every few weeks and expect viewers to pick up where they left of and more stay interested.
And I guess the 'complex' storyline of the first few episodes can scare of some viewers as well.
The show had potential, I liked the general plot. But it just didn't take off, it dragged on and didn't keep the story interesting.
This show was cool until I learned that they cancelled it... then it just became a drag to watch because I knew it wouldn't continue. Great show, though.
Just finished watching the entire season, I hope they get picked up by other network too!

This might be the worst serie Iv seen in a long time. Not only is it a never ending story as Lost, but the characters is to dumb to be in there position. Starting with the President. Week, easy to mislead and the dumbest of all things; he hired a terrorist to be vicepresident.
The red line of this serie is confucing, to much smalltalk and no consistency. Theres actuelly nothing happening episode after episode.
I hope they kill the show and use the money on some proper TVshow.
