Who knew that my two most favorite superheroes this year would end up being priests? Despite their personal burdens and very human weaknesses, Fathers Marcus and Tomas have sure shown enough courage, strength, and commitment to their cause to bring back my own faith in, well... superheroes. :)
Father Marcus: I'm not dying for the bloody church. I am dying for Him.
Father Tomas: Outcast fallen angel, you are loved.
Win.
Pretty much a prefect finale. It wrapped up the main storylines and kept some open for a possible future season.
Usually not a fan of horror shows or movies but I this entire season has been fantastic.
One of the best season finales I have ever seen! So so good. It concludes a chapter, yet leaves you wanting more, just how it should be.
I'm finally catching up on the finale. This is a good show over all. Some good twists and turns.
But within the conceit of possession shows lies the fault. In various times they offer a few people to join with a demon as a promise of "eternity" or to die.
In these shows there is no crisis of faith. The evidence of God is standing right in front of you. So why would you ever accept the Devils proposition. When you know God's promise is real?
I did love the fact that the pious nuns did not flinch or show any fear when confronted with the demon. At least staying true to the other side of the conceit.
And so loved the priest's response when his vein was sliced open and he refuses the demon because he has seen God.
Very satisfying ending to a stellar opening season. Ending works well if we get a second season or not. Father Thomas's fever dream conviction was almost enough to make me a believer! Too much to ask that Blu-ray gets realised with all ten episodes edited together to make one seven and a half hour movie? This is the first thing truly worthy of the original movie!
Great and Fun Show I hope it gets second season!! All the characters was on point
