2x04 Godspeed

The one instance cult money actually does something good.

Well, its somehow like in real life. Cults usually only do good things (like pay for damages caused by their leading members) when being forced to (usually through courts).

It almost makes up for the fact, that they are portrayed fairly neutral instead of the monstrous organization it actually is.

Edit: Nvm, my bad, in the next episode they mention that Eros is spinning so it would generate some artificial gravity. However, that would mean that they'd likely have to land with a different trajectory (approaching / matching the speed from "below" and the artificial gravity still wouldn't suddenly turn on if they use that approach).

The physics seemed really off when transitioning between spacewalk and the surface on Eros (when they land there suddenly is some gravity (off -> on vs. a gradual increase) and when Diogo leaves he somehow instantly drifts off / accelerates away in a strange way. Not sure why they've portrayed it that way - the only advantages seem to be a bit more "drama" and Miller loosing his detonator. However, both of these things should've been achievable with correct physics as well (e.g. Miller impacting even a bit faster for the drama and his detonator ricocheting away). Anyway, not a biggy but that seemed unnecessary (normally the physics feel right/correct in this show).

With every episode, the story gets weirder and weirder, and by this I mean really damn good.

Miller, Holden and Johnson are using the Mormon's ship to send the protomolecule into the sun. Talk about crazy plans.

On earth, Chrisjen is outplaying Mao and the undersecretary like a pro. Never saw it coming and it was glorious. She's airing out their dirty laundry and using them to help her do it.

Now WTF did the protomolecule just do? Move the whole space station with its's weird shrieking and avoid being destroyed? Yes it did.

Miller has turned out to be my favorite character. He pretends not to care about anything except what will get him through the day, but when push comes to shove, he is righteous, just and honorable, willing to sacrifice himself to save another, but also willing to make the hard decisions others are often unable to make becuase they refuse to see the darkness as part of the light.

Fav line: "The Mormons are going to be pissed."

Was really believing they were going to kill off Miller but was hoping they wouldn’t since he’s one of my fave characters of the show so far. What I didn’t expect tho, is that the protomolecule would move the whole of Eros to avoid getting nuked. Also, I really enjoyed watching Miller go out into space with only a suit, I feel like his behavior was very realistic.

Hey, Holden symbolically killed himself by killing off truth teller.
Finally made a conscious choice with a heavy price. I hope writers not gonna brush it off.
