God this show is beautiful. That shot of Tycho was just insane. Love that we are getting more of those scenic shots. Luna as well. Could watch an hour of just that.
The expanse really doesn't fail to deliver, every season was great, and this one seems to be no different. You'd wonder how on earth other shows are so far behind.
The visuals are gorgeous, but the script is a bit inconsistent and suffers from some pacing issues as the table for the season is being set.
The series continues very well, but seeing it at Cine Paco on the big screen makes it look better
Draper is such an asshole now. She's the most inconsistent character in the entire show.
I guess Draper, a former marine, just lost control, all day, and decided to be an asshole in a bad mood, all day. Stupid.
And now Naomi and Holden are seperated AGAIN. Stupid.
What kind of idea enters a writers mind "Hey, let's give Naomi a son she abandoned many years ago. And let's make the father the main bad guy in the season, and the son is bad too" Stupid.
How would anyone think that is going to be a good story. The main story.
Book/Arc 3 and 4 were in ways decent and garbage and ran out of creative steam on the alien front, the politics front, the story front and the characters front.
I'm just sad at how this show has fallen. I'm just sad really. I don't think i have anymore willpower to devote to point out the stupidity and mediocre storylines. Just going to sit back and be entertained, hoping the show gets better.
Awesome, season 5 is already off to a fantastic start.
Lots of action and it seems like the CGI got even better (/ the budget was increased). Many super cool Sci-Fi scenes!
I liked the intro scene and I loved the train scenes at Tycho Station and Mars.
The opening credits mentioned Cara Gee so hopefully Drummer will continue to play an important role.
Amos had lots of great quotes and those stupid skinnies certainly didn't knew with whom they're messing. Playing with Amos is like playing with fire; you better try not to get burned :D
Seeing Monica again was also nice and Jim was more relaxed in those scenes (which is also nice for a change).
Bobbies voice command "message the old lady" got me. Apparently she really likes to call Avasarala that (but she never did it to her face so far, IIRC).
The best Amos quotes:
Amos: "First of all, I didn't start it, and second of all, they where all alive when I walked out."
Avasarala: "You look like shit."
Amos: "You look amazing."
Amos: "You and I have very different life experiences, Chrissie."
Avasarala: "Don't call me that. I'm a member of Parilament, not your favorite stripper."
Amos: "You can be both."
Season 4 was a bit stupid but this one is looking much better. Really interesting diverging plotlines. Hoping to see the crew getting back together later on to give Marcus a well deserved ass whooping.
Oh boy...it’s back. Trying to decide if I should watch it now or wait for episodes to release so I can binge. I do want to watch it now but hate waiting a week. Covid & streaming service that release the entire season has ruined my patience’s. :-(

After an excruciatingly tedious and seemingly unending period of torment spent waiting for the arrival of the greatly anticipated fifth season of "The Expanse" (set to air on December 15th), we can all finally revel in this wondrous and overwhelmingly joyous occasion together, as this intensely popular and uniquely adaptated sci-fi series continues!
Seeing all those crazy scores I had to comment and say this was very much a load of rubbish. :-D
I may revise my low score once I see it...possibly.
Not the strongest pilot: it branches on each main character's future plotlines, with Holden, Naomi, Alex, and Amos going on their own path. However it sets up the Inaros as quite detestable villains - in case killing Ashford in previous season was not enough. It started with Filip and ended with Marcos. The extras were less convincing, but the space shots - and we got lots of them (Tycho, Venus, Earth) - all are gorgeous.
