Some great Drummer content this ep. I was seriously afraid that we were gonna lose Amos or Peaches too. Ramping up to the finale! Really want Marco to get what's coming to him.
It sucks for Pacifist Clarissa that she's had to kill more people against her will than Amos tried wholeheartedly since they teamed up.
Though it is a welcome change, it's kind of weird that Chrisjen is going above and beyond to drill into people's heads that Earth must come first they can't treat Belters as a monolith. She's never had much love for them, she seemed more understanding with Fred Johnson's past than Naomi's, not to mention she was personally responsible for torturing an OPA Belter at the start of the show...
Admiral, I don't think "that joke" was ever funny to be honest.
Superb episode. Tense, dramatic and action-packed. I don't get the hate for the Naomi scenes. They're excellent. Never really liked the character before, but this season has transformed her in my eyes.
That action sequence - I get the impression they wanted to do the whole thing in one shot a la the epic firefight in True Detective s1, but they couldn't quite get it all to work so had to incorporate a few odd cuts. Still impressively done though.
Timmy really should have remembered that old saying about how no good deed goes unpunished.
Elsewhere, I have concluded that -- the boring aspects of it aside -- the problem with the Naomi story line this season hasn't been so much with Naomi as it has been with Marcos and his son. Because watching those two do a scene together in this one was almost painful.
9.5/10 - Man is the frozen lake Winnipesaukee beautiful with all that snow. Those were awesome shots that made me wanna go there.
Anyway, it felt so good to see Marco angry when he realized that Naomi is still alive.
It sucks a bit that Avasarala's husband is dead (mainly because they didn't part on good terms) but it could be much worse. Avasarala's "I will not be a part of this." was gold! So powerful with three additional cabinet members leaving as well: "We're supposed to be better than this." Seems like there's still hope for humanity :)
Apparently three more cabinet ministers left later so it's no surprise that David Paster lost to the no confidence vote. He seemed to do well for a wile and I thought it would take much longer for Avasarala to become the secretary general again but he did really loose it and went too far with his plans.
Drummer must be so damn frustrated. "Give me your gun" really summarized the gravity of the situation. I hope that she gets to side with the crew of the Roccinante during the next episode.
Amos mentioning the word "debugger" was cool (I appreciate it as a computer scientist :D).
I was also glad that Felix did get to finish his joke. It was really bad, as expected (I also correctly expected that the Earther would say something arrogant), but I still wanted to hear it.
Amos taking the big wrench with him when he left the reactor "room" was a classic Amos move :D
The dialogues between Erich and Clarissa were absolutely great IMO. First about the names Peaches and Timmy and then:
Erich: "Where did Timmy find you?"
Clarissa: "Serving a live sentence for multiple homicides."
...
Amos: "Hopefully the extra load won't set the ship on fire." (that didn't sound reassuring at all to me)
...
Hutch: "She killed them all! With her bare hands."
Erich: "I'm gonna be a lot nicer to her from now on."
The shuttle escape was so awesome!!! I was really looking forward to that. Their escape was messier than I've hoped but at least all of the important characters made it out alive and the rest of the bad guys got burned (those stupid assholes certainly should've just walked away...).
The dialogue between Marco and Filip at the end was frustrating though:
Marco: "She was trying to escape. [...] She left us. She left us both. Again."
Yes Marco, how could she?!? After having such a good time with them...
I hope that Naomi will manage to warn Alex and Jim in time. At least she already managed to wire the proximity detonator to the helmet's head-up display. I have no idea what her next plan is though.
I'm honestly pretty feed up with this soap opera now and I really really would like to see that bloody terrorist get blown to pieces and preferably that idiot son as well.
Finally some action in the Earth.
That firefight was really well shot. Also, I don't know how they're going to wrap up all these loose ends with the finale but I'm certainly looking forward to it.

Please no more scenes with Naomi. You have an entire universe so why do you have to focus so much on the most boring character of the show.
