Seven minuites in they already gave us the best falcon fight through the entire mcu so far. Along with the best performances from Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie so far. And there’s more cameos than the entire Wanda vision with Rhodes. Some great new characters who’s names I can’t remember, the old man and sams war friend and his sister. I’m psyched for Zemo and more of Sam and Bucky interacting.

I watched this on the train to school and ima rewatch it on the train home.

This show is gonna be amazing man. 9/10 for me.

It's alright. Definitely not WandaVision levels and nowhere near the same hype for the next episode. It's only the first episode, though

loading replies

Guess I'm the only one who found the action-packed opening the least interesting part of the episode. I thought it would be a mission-of-the-week type of show. So, it's a nice surprise that won't be the case. I actually like to see the human side of superheroes and their daily problems. I can see why young audiences would find that boring, though.

apparently sebastian stan improvised many of his lines in the therapy scene. amazing!!!

This felt really good to me. I liked the layers on display. We could feel that we were dealing with change and character struggling with that change. The absence of Steve sends ripples through both Sam and Bucky's life and that loss feels internalized in the show in a way that I found much more engaging than Wandavision, personally. Also, that editing from Kelley Dixon is tight as hell, as usual.

loading replies

Already infinitely better than Wandavision and with more emotional weight tied to the two leads. Super interested in seeing where they go with this.

loading replies

I liked this first episode, I liked the fight sequences and I am so happy we get to see the people behind the heroes and what is going on in their heads, especially in Bucky's head...

loading replies

I like getting to know these characters outside of the action set pieces. Good episode.

loading replies

I liked it, the show is off to a good start. I don't understand the comments saying it was slow, since this is the first episode, it's setting things up and we're getting to know the characters better. It had the right amount of action and plot. I for one am happy it's not a missions-of-the week, explosions-every-five-minutes type of show and we're actually going to learn more about the characters too.

Bucky is one of my favourites from the MCU and I always felt he had a lot of potential. It was frustrating the movies didn't do more with the character, considering what interesting comic book material there is to go off of. I'm looking forward to the show exploring Bucky and Sam more, both characters will benefit from it. I have zero interest in Sam so far and since he's supposed to be taking the CA mantle I feel they really need to beef up his character development.

After Wanda it becomes difficult to maintain expectations. First episode. Fair but...

loading replies

At first I thought this was going to be a higher-budget Agents of SHIELDS (absolutely meant that as compliment), then sank back a little as the middle parts seem to be a "heavier" show than that, but by the end I was intrigued by both leads' individual stories, which feel teased out more engagingly than I would have first thought, especially Sam's. Glad the show won't completely ignore race here (both the scene at the bank and the ending), and I hope they actually follow through with it.

Kinda boring. Falcon family drama does not interest me at all. Bucky was interesting tho. I like him way better than Falcon.

loading replies

Solid start! Falcon's action sequence at the beginning was cool but Bucky's scenes definitely stole the episode.

As for the "new Captain America", HELL NO!!

Also I appreciate Anthony Mackie trying to speak Arabic but he totally butchered it :joy:

loading replies

Blah, pretty boring compared to what I was expecting. Hopefully it will pick up.

And can anyone explain why its not racist for Falcon to say "you know I don't play with these white folks"? If Cap said, "You know I don't play with these black folks", it would be considered racist. Just trying to understand why its different.

loading replies

not as good as wandavision but a good start, wish sam and bucky met up tho tbh

loading replies

Truly awful fight scenes in this episode. The opening action sequence was painful to watch, which is a travesty considering GSP was part of it. These are literally two of the most boring and uninteresting characters in the MCU. Really weird that they got given their own show IMO. This was BORING.

Honestly, I'm not thrilled to keep watching this show, but I will, simply because I feel as though I'm better off seeing everything in the MCU in preparation for future shows and movies.

loading replies

the new “captain america” reminds me of when steve got recruited to act (or whatever they called it) during the first movie. this is not going to go well with sam, hes definitely gonna fight it.

loading replies

So much better of a start than Wandavision. As previously said, action and story wise it was more of a natural transition into phase #4 for me personally. Preferred the length and the Marvel style we’ve become accustomed to over what was used for W/V. Excited to see where this is headed

loading replies

The beginning was good with all the flying and stuff. It went downhill after that. Who the hell is the new Captain America. He looks like a right weirdo. It's only been a few months since the universe was corrected. I would have thought the whole world would still be in turmoil especially when everyone came back all at once. How are people supposed to get their lifes back and homes and jobs after being gone for five years!

loading replies

The new captain America looks like a fucking douchebag.

loading replies

Unpaid Intern Mr Falcon's story was a bit boring. Winter Soldier man's story was better and somewhat more believable.

loading replies

Ok, didn't expected that tone for the show... and thank god! Life during Blip and changes that it brought is the most interesting thing about MSU right now. And honestly Marvel meets Leftovers would have being a great combo I know that they not gonna go that far and that stuff gonna drop from the show eventually So, I would take what I can get so far.

My only problem is that by the end of the series, I bet, Sam's collateral damage won't get the same treatment as Bucky's currently gets.
Cause for one action scene we already got alot of kills accompanied by light banter and literal hooray moments. If juxtaposition was done on purpose I would be incredibly surprised.

loading replies

For a show, it has some breathtaking movie quality action.

loading replies

Well, this seems to follow more along the lines of the movies with big action sequences. As long as they can keep the story interesting I'm in for the duration.

loading replies

Nice premiere episode even though I somehow expected more from it. Nevertheless it wad a good introduction and I guess it will get better from here like WandaVision.

loading replies

Me when I see the 'new Captain America' shows up with the shield: THE AUDACITY OF THIS BITCH

loading replies

Man that was a lot of dialogue after the opening sequence, I get it, they're trying to establish the story, characters et al but still could do with better pacing. It's a solid 7/10 for me.....

loading replies

sorry, not a fan so far, that was 5% action and 95% filler, i don't need to see Sam and Bucky's personal lives. the first episode should come out swinging and this did not do that. and what the hell was that at the end of the episode? looks like they grabbed some random guy off the street and stuck a Captain America costume on him, guy looks like a dweeb. not impressed, hope they do better and they only have 5 episodes left

loading replies

The stories is a little boring for me, I think.

loading replies

From the start, Falcon and the winter soldier showed to be something different from what MCU has been doing. It felt a lot more "Artistic" than most of their movies and went deeper in the mind of the characters. As a first chapter this was a good start.

It was a first good episode, I was surprised at how little action there was because I was expecting the whole episode to be filled to the brim with action. [thankfully it wasn’t]

I also thought that going into the characters day to day life and not going right after the baddie was a good choice since it gives more insight into how these heroes are coping after endgame just like Wanda.

I usually wouldn’t bring this up but I noticed this little thing where they made the bad guys be bad cause they went against capitalism lol. I usually don’t get political but it was pretty noticeable and not an undertone for sure.

Nonetheless I enjoyed this episode and looking forward to next week

Sam Wilson visiting the bank to ask for a loan really puts a realistic and dramatic view of the life of the avengers after defeating Thanos.

loading replies

This episode opens with one of the best action sequences in quite a few years. Maybe not THE best but top tier for sure. That's not just for a TV show but there are films that wish they had this level of action. Narratively it suffers though. The episode is a mostly confusing an not near as interesting mess.

loading replies

awesome opening action sequence great use of a lesser known antagonist from Captain America Winter soldier

after that the rest of the episode is solely character development focusing on Sam for a while and then shifting over to Bucky very good setup episode

As Trump would like to say: BORING!

Very refreshing after watching the first season of Wandavision (don't get me wrong, I liked that show a lot - I'm just ready for some good old fashioned ACTION). A pretty standard introductory episode, but they've got my attention with the John Walker character. Wyatt Russell has been great in everything I've seen him in, and he's of course the son of two legendary actors (Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, his dad played Ego in Guardians Vol. 2).

loading replies

Well it was just okay, it's just the start, it will probably get better. I was pleasantly surprised to see Joaquin Torres (The new Falcon in the comics). And we have U.S.Agent (John Walker) at the end. it's okay, but yes, well, slow start.

loading replies

Very interesting. So we get Flag Smashers, Zemo, Falcon, Winter Soldier and is it John Walker in the end? I wonder if they're going to make him the same arrogant douchebag he is in the comics..
