I love how people aren't checking into the right show for the new Flash
The first Flash, as a TV show that is.
I think this was the first attempt at making a serious (!) superhero series for TV. Yes, it had it`s goofy episodes, cheesy dialogue, logical lapses. At time the music was too comical. I never liked The Trickster episodes. On the other hand there were some really good ones that were way beyond what you would expect in terms of storylines. FX was good too for 1990. Overall I think quality was really good. They overdid the costume, though. The look is great but the muscles ? C´mon that´s a bit too much.
I haven´t seen the 2014 version, I will later for sure. But vise versa one should whatch this who only saw the newer Flash.
Oh my goodness!!!!! Although I got a good laugh out of watching a few episodes of Flash (just for the nostalgia), this show was absolutely horrible! Maybe subconsciously I'm making comparisons to the new flash? Maybe so, but.... Acting totally sucks! But, like I said, fun to watch for the nostalgia.

Like most 90s TV the first season was very erratic and a second season might have had the rough edges worked out. Coming before the comic boom when people learned that you could adapt storylines from comic books and people would watch; it has easter egg dialogue mentioning names from the comics (usually as something totally different). It seems like they thought bringing in other comic book characters would make it too cartoonish and created really bad real world versions.
