They're doing a great job of getting the right mix of intrigue/mystery and comedy here. Good stuff.
"I'm a totally new person" - Comes home starts excessive drinking.
"I'm going to be there and I'm not going to be late" - you instantly know what will happen.
I'm sorry but this isn't working for me. This doesn't work as a comedy, not as a thriller, not at all. I was already fast forwarding and am already tired of Cassie making stupid decisions and then apollogizing afterwards again and again.
Always a treat to see Michelle Gomez! Kaley is doing a great job portraying Cassie and I feel so bad for her. I am very curious about her childhood, which - so far - seems like a total shit show!
Mannn, thought Cassie would know better after what happened and she's still drinking and sleeping around. I guess some people handle trauma differently but that sure ain't a good way to do it.
Yes, I am liking this show, better than expected. Kaleys acting is spot on for the character, the mix of suspense, mystery, comedy is spot on and that soundtrack, love that!
So nice glad I start watching it. Music I insane and also weird in a good way :D.
I loved Michelle Gomez so much in Sabrina, it’s good to watch her in a real show!!!
Cassie is really dumb but also it seems like she has a guardian angel!!
And Megan is a little suspicious, like she was so eager to tell the fbi everything about Cassie and Alex and the way she’s been spreading this narrative about “Cassie having sex with the dead russian guy” like???? And sending Cassie that message of “that’s your scarf!!” Like she knows the fbi could ask them for their phones and check their texts so that felt like she did it on purpose.
The plot thickens but surely that's not the whole truth with so many episodes left. Curious about this Miranda! Michelle Gomez is wonderful as ever. Played that bartender like a fiddle!

I get that the girl is a mess and had a difficult childhood (some kind of abuse implied) and I understand artistic Liberty but that was difficult to digest.
I'm willing to excuse this one time but if the show continues taking these liberties b it will become a Netflixy show and not a HBO one.
Maybe that's why they put it on Max and not on their main channel.

I'm glad the show is raising awareness for alcoholism among young women.
It's deeply saddening how normalized/trivialized/minimized women's alcoholism is in pop culture.
