The scenes between Maia and Lucca are my favorite part of the show.
I miss the cold opening. I hope its removal it's not a permanent thing bc it's a TGW quintessential feature
I find parallelism between Maia-Alicia (novices and with great family problem) and Luca making of Kalinda that helps. It has become the number 1 priority series to watch

Maia is a nice paralell to Alicia and Lucca serves as her Kalinda, so yeah it's paying homage to titular series but with a lot of personality and wit.
And I'm happy Marissa is here too, she was a delight every time she popped up on The Good Wife and she is already off to a great start. Besides Maia's family problems, there's not a background plot layed out for Diane and Lucca yet, so we'll see what happens... this feels like a eight Alicia-less TGW season on these first two episodes so I'm 100% on board
