I just love how this show lovingly points to everything going wrong right now.

Another commentator below mentioned this episode had too many "off-the-wall moments." Something I have to think about when I watch this next week, but I'm not sure that's how I'd put it, or that it's a problem- how else do they acknowledge and elucidate the topsy-turvy climate of the political landscape and justice system if not with wry banter, dry humor, deadpan discourse?

Maia was amazing in this episode. Her scenes were short but on point.

You know you're too much of a film nerd when the switch to a wider aspect ratio between seasons makes you slightly uncomfortable. Thankfully, The Good Fight is still The Good Fight.

So pleased it's finally back - such a talented cast. Good first episode but I hope they avoid leaning too hard on the wackier elements. I know the show's universe has always had some eccentric characters who have been terrific fun to watch, but Diane talking to "Trump" in Kurt's bruise was both odd and unsuccessful, similarly the naff cartoon and jingle explaining NDAs. Unfortunately, I heard Michelle King say in an interview that the cartoons will be a feature of this season. I realise The Good Fight has never been a straightforward legal show but they need to be careful with these more off-the-wall moments as the ones this episode were more jarring than anything else, and detracted from the overall calibre of the episode.
