The moment Rebecca/Kiki's father recognised her in the airport and the both of them hugged... I have never started crying so quickly. What a great season finale filled with so many emotions

Oh man, I unexpectedly lost it when Rita landed safely in freedom and was reunited with Emily/OfGlen. It'll be interesting to see where things go next season for all the handmaids since I can't see how it won't be carnage/a lot of draconian punishments.

totes emotional and i was anxiety ridden the whole time watching it.

"Mrs. Waterford, under warrant from the ICC and the government of USA, I'm placing you under arrest"
I FUCKING LOVE THIS SONG!!

  • I held my breathe the whole damn episode because I was expecting the baby to start crying and tips them off. I was mentally cursing them I feel so guilty lmao.

  • I started crying when the girls went to help June and then I cried more when kiki saw her dad and went to hug him and then my heart just broke completely at Luke's face expecting Hannah IM-

loading replies

Yep, I teared up.

Then I teared up some more.

Thennnnnn when Kiki was reunited with her father? Cue the waterworks.

Possibly one of the best episodes so far from this show.

loading replies

Awesome. The first half of this season left me thinking that the writers were bored with this show but, he last few episodes turned that around. Great finale!

When they carried June away at the end, she had her hand on her belly like a pregnant woman. Foreshadowing? I'm going to guess that she is saved from the wall because she is pregnant with Lawrence's baby, although I suspect it will be given to the new no-nonsense commander mentioned early in this episode.

loading replies

This was better than the last season finale, at least the reason she is still there sort of made some sense. The other handmaids are a bit more problematic. But I can ignore the small stupid things, as an episode it was OK.

The season as a whole feels like a lot of wasted time, and reinforces the feeling that they really want to stretch this as far out as they can.

loading replies

It's the exact same ending as season 2. The main character sends someone out of Gilead and she sacrifices her self. I don't get it. What's the point? My guess on season 4: the main character is punished/tortured the first two episodes and then she is sent to another family. Season finale in season 4 is that she either escapes with Hanna or that she stays in Gilead for another season - depending on whether the creators want to milk this cow even more or not. Just as season 2 and 3 has been.

loading replies

When June decided to go back, I said "again?!". They almost repeated the season 2 finale :unamused:

loading replies

:sob: Carefully, she's a heroine.

At this point I don't even care that we didn't find out anything about Gilead's military like I had expected, they were just dealt a major blow and that was always the more urgent goal, so the payoff was great.

It was also a great turn of events that in this episode Moira and Emily, who had endured so much before, ended up being the ones that offered some comfort to others. Humanity may suck most of the time but I'll be damned if we don't have the potential to rise to the challenge in times of great need like that.

loading replies

Satisfying payoff to otherwise very slow-paced, sometimes just painfully boring season. June's journey starting as a victim to becoming a survivor and a fighter was portrayed very well. Cinematography was on point this season, too.

loading replies

I was underwhelmed with this episode and season finale. There were simply too many stupid things to enjoy it.
Some of them include:

- Men amirite, they're all such scum. All of 'm!
- "We can walk." Cause we kinda forgot we could walk.
- "It's still rape" even though well... you had immunity but ok loophole.
- Looking for a little girl house to house, bet they are the last house on the block then.
- Let me slowly walk upstairs to get a gun when a frantic woman is trying to get the fuck out.
- "I'm going back" again... Victim complex much June or just Stockholmed?
- Amazing how far you can get without any plan whatsoever and the whole "corpse" on your ass

But the plane landing was nice, at least if you don't know Moira is around and the emotional moment with Rita wasn't ruined by the other one.

I was so rooting for June to finally get out, I cried sooo hard. What a great episode! also I'm so fricking relieved that Serena finally got arrested, I couldn't stand her going free and still be able to see the baby.

loading replies

Yeah sure throw rocks instead of doing something logical where all of you can go to that fricking plane. But i know, St. June cant get out because of plot.

loading replies

Boring and bad, zooms on her face killed me. Story for 2 seasons streched to 4 seasons or more.

Now THAT is what I call an episode and what we’ve been waiting for all season. Amazing. Showstopping. Spectacular. Anxiety most of the time and sweaty palms. Cried floods when Moria saw just how many kids June had got out and I lost it when one of them was reunited with her dad. The heartbreak for Luke in hoping Hannah was there just so saddening and the fact she might of been there had the situation at the school not happened. Also so pleased Rita got out because she became a favourite so was rooting for her to make it. Very strong ending to lead into S4. “You’re not in charge. I AM” :raised_hands_tone1:

I’ve been watching this season completely apathetically (and who can blame me, really? When all the attention is on Serena and her delusional ass), but the finale was like a bunch to my stomach by Thor’s hammer. Oh damn. I cried and cried and cried. It left me so fecking happy and satisfied. I was so afraid June destroying her soul would’ve been all for nothing. Thankfully it wasn’t.

The ending had me bawling! What a beautiful moment when the plane arrives full of those kids. And the moment between Rita and Emily, my heart!

Good episode but also a typical June. Joseph was absolutely right when a demanded that the girl should return.

They sent out patrols and closed the city, to find the missing girl. That didn't only complicate the escape from the commander's house to the airport, as this episode explained.
It also made all the 52+ children being individually brought to the house a way greater challenge. Realistically an impossible challenge.

But for some reason the writers ignored this factor and only mused about final part of the escape to the airport, through the woods by foot. And miraculously all 52+ kids managed to bypass all patrols in advance of that final part.

Ok. You did it. You got me. I am totally hooked for next season. This last episode was intense, emotional and great. And now that I saw the trailer for season 4 I am looking forward to it.
