1x01 Chapter One: An Unkindness in London

Interesting start to a new show.
At first I wasn't too thrilled to learn that it has some sort of... weak Sherlock-subplot mixed in with the supernatural. I prefer my Sherlock-things to be on the logical, sherlocky side after all. I do like the show as is, I just feel that the only reason they took some sort of Sherlock-thing in with it was to sell it. The group could well do without the apparent asshole Watson is. But anyway, looks like Sherlock and Watson have some major falling out in this show... the exasperation of Watson even has me think they're depicted as lovers in this :joy: Goodness.

Well. Other than how so far the Sherlock-subplot seems to just be an excuse or basically marketing strategy, I love it.

Acting and effects are a little awkward and the Sherlock bit seems really forced, but it's just interesting enough for me to keep watching.

I also keep forgetting this isn't a kids show because it feels like it is? But then there's a lot of adult themes and graphic scenes so idk which age group is the target audience

At times a janky teen drama
At times an expensive looking show with great sets
At times it was entertaining but it was way more like Teen Supernatural than Teen Sherlock

I’m just beginning this series. It’s a youth mystery but a step up from CW. Good performances from the young cast. Encircling an alternative darker perspective on Dr. Watson and the other resident of 221b Baker Street. A little bit light horror, a little bit thriller, all adventure. On my initial look, I give this series a 7 (promising) out of 10. [Fantasy, Drama, Mystery]

I liked this way more than I was expecting. I kinda feel that the characters have more potential than the supernatural plot, though

I wanted to like it, and most of the episode was pretty interesting, but then they went and added edm and supernatural elements. to the world of SHERLOCK HOLMES!!! whose idea was this???

The pacing is slow, but the characters are good.
