Coercing the president to admit something by threatening his and other people's lives was so stupid. Like, if that actually happened in reality they'd only succeed in making a whole country hate the asshole terrorists who invaded them. You'd break nobody, pretty much the opposite, actually. People would rally against you.
I'm so disappointed in these last few episodes. All the smart strategizing just went out the damn window. Such crappy plotting. First, Tavo's army having access to the blueprints of a secure military building makes no sense. Then, the people in said building letting anyone and their cousins inside instead of getting stupid, asshole Kelsey to the lobby. Not to mention this ridiculous, almost spoiled-child-like obsession Tavo has with Tom. And, well, the whole "we'll break the country by showing their president crying on TV".
Dumb and lazy storytelling.
The only one I still like right now is Miller.
Oh man!! This last episodes are super intense.
I love them. Full of strategies, tension, the only bad thing is that we are losing almost all of the good characters.
Oh yeah, the Navy is just like a bank in a robbery film. Soooooo easy to break into and no one guarding it. Bitch please, cutting phone lines at a command center wouldn't do shit. There would already be a QRF there by the time the base was under attack, and the base would have their own security force ready.
It's like White House Down, Die Hard and Apollo 13 had a terrible child. This episode, much like the rest of the episodes this season, was terrible, illogical and plain stupid. The writers need to stop killing characters in the show, it's not working and no emotional impact because none of the deaths are earned through good storytelling. Tavo's obsession with Tom Chandler is just lazy writing. The whole scenario in which the people invade the command center was just lazy writing. This season has been full of lazy writing. I should have known when the pilot featured Michael Bay-style explosions.
Actually I started watching it this year on demand and binged watched it and I was able to see how it started and pitifully ended.
Look it was a good show but it was a sci fi sorta show ANYWAY. To me it was.
It almost seems that the show was granted a season finale so it was put together in a quick manner OR it was different writers. I mean that last season went from start a good one then bam downhill in a hurry.
Someone said cartoonish, well it is a correct diagnosis. I know it had to end someway but it just became ridiculous. One MAN, MARSHAL MATT DILLION from Gunsmoke days, now General Tom Chandler. At least Tom got Miss Kitty of his SHOW.
We got the honeymoon pleasures, but bad.
They should have called it a day at Season 4.
The Manly Man Chandler worship is completely out of control at this point. It's actually cartoonish.
What an action packed episode!

I'm generally a fan of this show, and really like the switching up of the objectives over the seasons, but in this - as in any show - it really fricking annoys me how what I assume are highly-trained soldiers/agents/police/etc. (in this case, the two guards in the conference room in the beginning) just stand up, gun in hand and don't fire off a single round. Guy #1 gets up, gets shot - Guy #2 seconds later, the same. They were clearly just written to get shot and not intended to be actual soldiers.
