7.8/10. Once again, only watched the first half. The opening portion of the episode, with a pretty tepid riff on Elizabeth Banks' "Fight Song" for Hillary and a fairly weak monologue didn't do much for me. But the ensuing two segments were great. If there's one thing as entertaining as Stephen reviving his old Colbert Report character and bits, it's him doing it in service of cheesing off IP lawyers who say he doesn't own those characters. The bits featuring "Stephen Colbert's" identical twin cousin, and his bringing "The Werd" back were both great instances of Colbert thumbing his nose at his old corporate masters. And the ensuing interview segment between him and John Oliver was great. It was mostly Oliver doing his usual bits with Stephen along for the ride (especially the endless kind-hearted jabs at Tim Kaine), but the two have a natural rapport that brought the comedy throughout. Plus Run DMC!

(Also, I didn't stick around to hear him/them, but "Chalamagne Tha God" is the funniest band name I've heard since "Toad the Wet Sprocket.")
