Gary Bell QC visits Sue Williams in the Midlands. She changed her life, bought a narrowboat and headed off to what she thought was going to be a new home, a state-of-the-art marina. However, the marina was not all that she had been led to believe, and when she complained she was kicked out and had to find a new home. Now Sue wants to be compensated for her loss. The second complainant is Jan Koutris, who replied to an advert for what she believed was a modelling agency to propel her daughter into a new and lucrative career. But it was a scam - and Jan and other victims want their money back.

Barrister Gary Bell QC meets Amanda Ciske, a young woman from Wisconsin, USA, who came to north London, paid a deposit and rented a flat. When the lease was up, she discovered that her lettings agent had disappeared with her deposit and now she wants to get her money back. Everton fan Iain Cockbain booked a luxury coach to take his clients and friends to Wembley for the cup derby against Liverpool. They were all there at 5.30 in the morning but the coach was not. Now he wants his money back.

Barrister Gary Bell QC goes to Leicestershire to meet Mandy Everley, who lent her horse, Libby, out on loan. But Libby ended up in an abattoir and now she and her daughter want compensation. More importantly, they want to know why this happened. Gary also visits Fishguard to meet Jim Scott who bought a house to refurbish for his wife and children. Centrepiece was to be a Welsh slate kitchen - but the slate was late arriving and not cut to the dimensions he had ordered.

Nurse and single parent Maggie Hart's new kitchen was described by the programme's expert as the worst he had ever seen. She wants her money back so she can have a proper kitchen installed. Pascal and Blessing from Grays in Essex bought a second-hand car, trading their own as part-exchange. Their new car broke down and so the car dealer gave them a courtesy car - which was not his, was not insured and which also broke down.

Zahida Altaf lives in Huddersfield and has cerebral palsy. She bought a mobility scooter from a local dealer, and when it broke down he took it away for repair. Many months later, she has not got her scooter or her money back. With her mobility restricted, she either wants her scooter back and working or her money back so she can buy a new one. In Wales, Joanna Chapelle loves to ride motorbikes. She ordered a camper van so she could go away with her husband and kids. The van arrived months late and was nowhere near the dream van she ordered. She wants her money back.
