The Little Lulu Show is an animated television series, based on the Marjorie Henderson Buell comic book character Little Lulu. The show was produced by CINAR Animation after Marge's death in 1993, and aired on HBO Family and Cartoon Network in the United States and on, CTV, and the Family Channel in Canada from 1995 to 1999. In Canada, reruns are currently being shown on both the English and French versions of Teletoon Retro. The series centered on the life and adventures of Lulu Moppet and Tubby Thompkins. Between stories, they showed stand-up comedy that Lulu hosted.
This show is not to be confused with Little Lulu and Her Little Friends, an anime TV series featuring the same characters made in 1976.
"Boy Cannon Ball"
Lulu is very skeptical about Tubby's cannon firing stunt. Lulu exposes the elements of the boys' trick.
Wilbur frames Lulu for breaking the nose off an antique bust. Wilbur's mom loves the look of the bust after Lulu and Annie crudely fixed it.
Lulu and Tubby try to mix a formula to grow Lulu's dad some hair, but instead it stains his head blue. However the tonic they made actually works, only too well.
"The Popcorn Thief"
Tubby is hired for detective work at Annie's home cinema, enduring a girly night. It turns out he's in league with the popcorn snatchers Iggy and Willy.
The Old Master: Master painter, Edgar Van Goof has finished his newest masterpiece to be sold the city museum. His painting is mixed up with Lulu's exact same painting, VanGoof's is hung on her refridgerator, and Lulu's is at Van Goof's unveiling. The paintings are switched, and Van Goof can finally affoard new pants.
Swat Shot Pops: Lulu has forgotten about Mr. Moppet's birthday, and doesn't have enough money for a present, so Tubby swaps his father's fish trophe for a present for Mr. Moppet, but Lulu and Tubby find themselves doing non-stop swapping to keep both fathers happy, while not suspecting a thing.
Detective Story: Lulu and Tubby hear about a bank robbery. So he as the spider again, and Lulu follow suspicious man, who is really Detective Johnson, who is following the bank robbers. Johnson is following a hideout, where he is slugged by the bankrobbers. Lulu and Tubby report to Officer McNab, and are named Junior Detectives.
"She Flies Through the Air"
Lulu and Tubby go skiing at Hilltop Mountain. Accidental mishaps going downhill make Lulu an honorary ski champion.
"Tiny Tot's Syrup"
Tired of Tiny Tot's Syrup and its bad taste, Lulu goes to the factory to lodge a complaint, which eventually makes the desired change to the taste.
"The Night Before Christmas"
Tubby's gang hatch a plan to trap Santa to get presents for themselves. A muddle occurs when Mr. Tomkins plays Santa tonight.
"The Piggy Bank Guard"
Tubby entrusts Lulu to guard his piggy bank so he won't spend it yet. Lulu quits her guard work when she realises he wanted to buy a present for Gloria.
Tubby's gang trick Annie and Lulu that their make-belief rocket ship and the trip to Mars is real and the two girls respond with their own trick.
"The Case of the Disappearing Drum"
Tubby thinks Mr. Moppet took Alvin's drum and tries to prove Lulu he is right, all the while making Mr. Moppet go distracted.
"From Hero to Zero"
Without any luck getting Gloria's attention, Tubby tries to be a hero to save Lulu, but Lulu takes credit for his heroic deeds.
"The Old Master"
A painter sells one of his paintings to an art museum but it is switched with a painting that Lulu drew.
"Swat Shot Pops"
Lulu doesn't have enough money for a present for her father's birthday. So she decides to swap one of Tubby's father's fish trophy for one.
Tubby becomes the spider again to follow a suspicious looking man believed to be a bank robber. However he is actually a detective looking for the real thief.
"The Case of the Missing Wig"
Someone stole Annie's wig for her doll and Lulu asks Tubby for help.
Lulu and Tubby try to find Frogs to get Froglegs.
"A Wrong Move"
Lulu tries to find wood to help her father build a book shelf.
Lulu wonders where babies come from.
"Little Sew and Sews"
The West Side Boys attack both Tubby's gang and Lulu's friends and Lulu decides to get even.
Tubby get a doll from aunt Martha and tries to get rid of it.
Lulu is asked by her father to pick up a tuxedo for him but she accidentally picks up officer McNabb's uniform.
"The Football Star"
Tubby's gang is challenged by the West Side Boys to a football game.
Lulu and Tubby are asked to deliver a package to an old abandoned house.
Gloria invited Tubby's Gang to the dance and Lulu and her friends stop her with Monkeys.
Lulu is locked outside her house in the night and tries to get back in.
"The Kissing Game"
Tubby makes a bet with Wilbur that Lulu can kiss him.
"Leaves for Everyone"
Lulu is asked by her father to rake leaves and she tries to trick Tubby's gang into doing it.
"The Fuzzythingus Poopi"
Lulu tries to find a gift for her mother's birthday.
"A Moving Experience"
Lulu overhears her parents and believes she is moving away.
"Oh Christmas Tree"
Lulu and her father go to the forest to cut a tree for Christmas, which doesn't come free like they thought.
Lulu and her friends are met by Santa's Snowmen, actually Tubby's gang cheating them out of their money, but they learn that giving things is more important.
Lulu and Tubby receive presents that don't coincide with their gender. This is just a game Mrs. Moppet and Mrs. Tomkins are playing to teach their children not snoop for presents.
"The Big Jewel Robbery"
A thief steals a bunch of jewels and after hiding them, believes that Lulu and Annie stole them.
Tubby has a fight with Willy. Meanwhile the West Side Boys plot to steal the boys clubhouse.
"The Spook Tree"
Lulu overhears from Tubby about the Spook Tree and that if you make a wish on it at midnight, it will come true.
Gloria is getting the boys to give her a valentine, while Lulu has none until the boys notice this.
Lulu becomes friends with Gertie and they both team against Wilbur who wants to be rid of Gertie.
"Stop Fiddling Around"
While cutting Onions, Lulu believes she broke her father's favourite pipe. Tubby tries to learn the violin.
Lulu and Annie find a giant turkey named "Alice" and try to protect her from Tubby's gang and Lulu's dad.
"Pieces of Eight"
Lulu, Tubby and Alvin go to the beach and hear about a hot dog contest.
Both Lulu and Tubby have to run errands. They trick Iggie into doing them.
Lulu is asked by her mother to babysit Alvin.
Lulu tells Tubby's gang a story about Mr. Winkle who turns kids into mannequins. They believe her when they see a mannequin of Lulu herself.
Lulu and Tubby wreak her mother's new hat and try to fix it.
Marty the Midget, a criminal who looks like Tubby, escapes from prison and switches places with Tubby.
"The Balloon Derby"
A contest is held to see how many balloons can be caught.
Lulu with Annie and Tubby with Iggy have mix up between a mannequin and a skeleton delivery, which also causes quite a commotion.
"The Bear Trap"
Lulu, Tubby, and Wilbur foil a pair of thieves trying to steal his father's money.
"Shirley the Shadow"
Lulu tells Alvin a story about a little girl who lost her shadow.
"A Dog's Life Saver"
Lulu wants to have a dog. She tries to stop a dog catcher from capturing a stray.
Lulu tells Alvin a story about how she met the Bogeyman.
A new tattoo parlour opens. The idea of children having tattoos causes an uproar from their mothers, but the tattoos are only pictures.
Lulu and Annie dress Wilbur as a girl and send him to his own party, causing him a lot of humiliation.
Mr. Van Snobbe buys an old suit of armor that was once worn by Lancelot Jr.. Legend has it when the three suits of armor are reunited, the spirit of the Lancelot family process the armors. Wilbur steps inside the suit of armor, only to find him having trouble seeing, and knocking things down with the sword. Mr. Van Snobbe has visiters, when Lulu and Tubby hide in the other suit of armors. They find the armors alive, and are being chased by them. When Mr. Van Snobbe finds Wilbur in the Lancelot Jr. suit, Lulu and Tubby escape via a catapault and an open window.
The kids discover on the front page of the newspaper that a lady is offering $10 to the most polite kid in town. The boys then cause trouble when all trying to earn the $10. Each lady they help, are displeased with the boys' ill behavior. When they knock down Mrs. Van Snobbe, Lulu and Annie help her up, and the two earn the $10, while Wilbur is shocked to see it was his mother who sent in the article.
"Five Little Babies"
After Lulu gets pranked by Wilbur and the boys, she and Annie get back at them by stealing their clothes and dressing them up in diapers
When Lulu and Mrs. Moppet peal potatoes, she finds one that looks exactly like Tubby. When she goes to show it to him, everyone thinks she's trying to harrass him. Tubby then gets revenge by finding a potato that looks just like her. Lulu is offended, while Annie finds it hilarious, so Lulu finds a potato that looks just like Annie. Thus breaking the potato war.
Tubby practices throwing his voice, by making Lulu's mirror, Gloria's poodle, Alvin's toy soldier, Annie's sunglasses, Wilbur's money, and Officer McNab's shoes talk. When Officer McNab's shoes talk, Lulu notices Tubby's cheeks moving to the exact same syllables. Lulu then has Tubby over, when he discovers everything really is talking! Tubby then learns his lesson.
Tubby has to be the Easter Bunny in the Easter Pagent. He is embarrased by the purple bunny suit and when the Tompkins car breaks down, he and Lulu have to find gas. Tubby is then chased by the West Side Boys. Once on stage,
