Spectacular episode.
I hate, absolutely hate, hate, hate musical episodes. I usually skip them because they don't typically add much, but I'm glad someone talked me into watching this one.
This was the cringiest thing ever and it was absolutely awesome.
By far, the best episode of this season!
Here's some highlights of it, in no particular order:
- Tick, the prick!
- Elliot and Margo going down gracefully, like the true King and Queen that they are
- Julia levelling up!
- Snorting lyophilized fairy to be able to do magic was a disturbingly creepy metaphor for getting high on drugs in real life
- Great quotes, like: "Bowie fan?... Margo fan!" and "You can just feel the boring... Thank God!"
- The Magicians: The Musical (part two, I think?)! Excellent singing performance from the gang (Elliot proving, once again, that he's got a great singing voice), with a kickass opening act from Josh, and then closing with a Bowie's classic was the cherry on top of a delicious musical cake!
I've just finished the episode and I'm ecstatic! This is what TV entertainment should be like and make us feel like, there's great chemistry between the cast and the writing always keeps us glued to the screen. This is The Magicians on a roll!
Just brilliantly done. Under pressure was the hilight of this episode for me!

Great show, but this episode was pretty awful. I FFWD through the singing parts. Even then, weak episode. Minus the Julia bit. Fire that writer.
This episode was great. But the Les Mis episode will forever be my favorite musical episode of The Magicians.
I think the show has got boring.. period..

That Under Pressure moment brought tears in my eyes and a smile on my lips!
Lots of moments of this show can be fun, but not totally awesome. Totally awesome is what this season has been achieving
