Teddy and I prepared a surprise for Beth that went...mostly well. I promise Beth is fine now but I don’t think any of us realized how bad it’s gotten… She wanted me to post the whole video because she says it’ll help remind herself and others of where she was as she works to conquer her fears. -Jo
Hi everyone. Normally my music does my talking for me, but I wanted to come out from behind the guitar to say thank you for all your supportive messages. I have been learning a lot about social anxiety over the past few days. About what it is and how to manage it. And I’m going to start getting professional help. But...I’m really proud of myself for taking that first step out the door. (Also, Mr. Laurence is an incredibly sweet old man who really likes chocolate chip cookies and I’m happy I was able to go thank him in person.) Lots of hugs, Beth.

Over the past few days, we’ve learned that Beth’s best chance to get better is with a bone marrow transplant, so Joan and I wanted to dispel some myths about bone marrow donation.
