Okay let's talk about it. First Kyla Pratt is adorable. I hear she's a bit different now but growing up she's been a very good looking young lady. She's also fun to watch. Unfortunately I'm not a poet so I can't think of a way to rephrase that to come off less pervy but I just legit like her as an actress.
But WOW the things that happen in this case. It's been FOUR complete (20+ episodes each) seasons of this show. And in EVERY situation no matter how devastating Patrick Jane asks for a cup of tea. Sometimes to snoop. Sometimes to comfort sometimes just to be pretentious. And now we have a former gangster gone good and suddenly for the FIRST TIME EVER. My dude can't find tea. What, so black people don't drink tea, but literally everyone else does? I'm so offended by this because of how little sense it makes.
Ugh and then on TOP of that my girl goes to get her brother's killer and fires off two warning shots. It throws the entire department into this tizzy of "we're going to have to arrest you because you did fire a weapon". What there's no prosecutorial discretion? This is the sort of thing that wouldn't even be addressed for white kids
I did the math this is literally episode 100. Most shows do some sort of big thing for episode 100 but this is the episode where they arrest a black girl and put her in foster care for firing a warning shot. Oh but wait our blessed officers call in and give out favors and lean and cajole and barely get this girl not arrested for firing warning shots at gangsters because she thought they killed her brother. The fact that no one is questioning this is an example of how just insane logic just gets acceptable socially. "Oh don't forget your statutory responsibilities" something they they seem to forget every time Jane does something insane or one of the cops insults someone until they swing at them then they call it "Arrest for assaulting an officer"
