So what I got from claire and hannah’s conversation is that claire doesn’t care about the age difference between she and yanko or that he technically is her superior, but that she’s embarrassed of publicly dating him because he is kind of a nerd who loves frogs and his hobby is following thunderstorms?
So, Alex's going to make a deal with the devil, Claire is an idiot (weather guy definitely deserves someone better than a girl who's embarrassed by him), Hannah has to deal with a third humiliation...
