I liked it.
This show put a different spin on werewolf mythology, and I love when werewolves aren't portrayed as some disease that forces a human into becoming an uncontrollable killing machine every full moon.
I also appreciated the total lack of vampires. Every other time its vamps vs. wolves or witches vs. vamps.
A great idea, with bad acting performance, and a crappy script.
Meh, The ending was good, the rest of the season was okay,
If you like cheesy Teen dramas then this may be for you.
I really couldn't take this show seriously it felt forced and throughout the show i just thought right okay then but other than that i enjoyed it.
I'll think it will suck. besides that, Im tired of watching shows around unis, colleges, high schools
guess I'm too old ;-)
This was a weird yet enjoyable show. I had a lot of WTF moments during the first season because I was not expecting the mix of campiness and tearful drama and thought the balance was way off at times but it kinda became a signature for this show and I thoroughly enjoyed what it became. The acting wasn't stellar and the dialogue was downright terrible but a lot of interesting ideas and concepts. I was very sad to hear it would not have a third season as the second season ended with a serious BANG.
This show is cheesy, cringe-worthy, and the humorous/witty moments aren't on-point. It's the whole package. Some people may like the show for exactly that, and to be fair, it wasn't as bad as some people may say/found it to be, in their opinion. But for those who don't and didn't, well, that's the case with the first season. All of that changes in the second season.
And maybe it is due to hindsight, but I look back at the first season in a different light. My ratings for the episodes of the first season were all over the place, as was what I wrote up for each one, but I do somewhat remember that I found it enjoyable but I didn't like it.
But the first season was merely an introduction and establishment phase of what's to come. And there was a lot of improvement with the second season. The humorous and/or the witty moments were all of a sudden on-point and not cheesy or cringe-worthy. Plus, they were much smoother and effortless. I got immersed and invested very quickly. It was great. Oh, and the quality increased a lot. That seems to be how Netflix rolls. They use an average budget for every individual show, which probably varies depending on the show, to test the waters and if they're satisfied, they hand out a renewal along with an increased budget. In some cases, depending on the show, the difference can be significant. So, if one of the issues you had with the first season is about that, you'll be pleasantly surprised with the second season.
Honestly, now that I think about it, the concept of the show is pretty cool. Not to mention, there are a lot of cool aspects to the show. The mythology surrounding everything. The characters that are easy to grow attached/grow a liking to or accustomed to, and in the opposite sense, as well. I've grown attached and accustomed to the characters and the show itself so much after watching the second season, I'm surprised at myself. It made me raise my rating of the show to an eight when I gave it a seven that was closer to a six back when I finished watching the first season. The second season was that good.
The only downside is that the show, as a whole, comes off as cheesy and whatnot. If that wasn't enough, it's the type of show where its demographic aim is at a younger audience or whatever, like a teen drama, which I don't think this show is, technically, because the setting is in college. And that ends up sticking and becomes a turn-off to where you won't continue watching it if there were more seasons. But if you were to give the second season a shot, you may change your mind.
MY THOUGHTS ON THE ORDER:
-WARNING: Spoilers Below-
As a previous comment had stated... Don't expect too much from this. The first season was decent but unfortunately the second season wasn't near as good. In fact the second season was really bad. I had to force myself to watch it and I still to this day don't understand why I made myself finish it.
What annoys me the most about The Order is that it actually had quite a lot of potential. There were some great cast members and at times the writing was pretty damn good, they just decided to ruin it. Alyssa is possibly one of the worst characters in a show that I have watched and the actress doesn't pay the character any favours. Besides season 1 I really can't see too many positives about the show.
I do think the show is worth watching just for season one though, I actually really enjoyed the first season. If you're big on the fantasy genre and love werewolves then you'll definitely like the first season, second season I'm not too sure thought. Unfortunately I can understand why this show got cancelled and I actually don't feel like it was the wrong decisions, I think it was the correct one - Just like killing Alyssa's character was the correct decision. Unfortunately some shows are just better off being cancelled instead of them sailing a dead ship.
Overall this show is only worth the watch if you are extremely bored and have no idea what to watch. Please do not expect too much though because I promise you, you will be disappointed.
Overall rating: 6/10
(The only reason it's given a 6 and not lower is because I really liked season 1.)
There are some nice episodes and a few interesting ideas here and there - but the main focus seems to be the different relationships between the characters and their sense of obligation and how that affects their decisions making overall. It's a very typical concept that despite the setting provided doesn't really explore something new or unique.
There is untapped potential and with the season finale one might hope that this will be used for another season, but unless the writers step up their game I'm not sure what to expect. The characters are somewhat shallow which is sad because I think there could have been much more depth and complexity.
I did enjoy the acting partially as well as some of the costumes and the special effects - obviously very subjective - which helped with the immersion, though there sure is room for improvement.
Generally, if you don't mind the teen drama and the campus setting, this show can provide a few entertaining hours in-between series, but it certainly isn't a must-watch imho.
The Werewolves were awesome but technically their skin walkers with a twist and i like the dynamic of how magic works where as anyone can use it if they know how, forget the teen drama and fraternity plot tool and you got a amazing series... Think about it!
Not too bad hoping for a next season :P
What a poorly scripted, poorly acted, corny, laboured and dumbed down show this is. Spare yourself the time... AND it was cancelled, so Season 2 does not end satisfactorily, I guess they were thinking it would continue... really, don't bother!
Watched it knowing it was cancelled and likely ended on a cliffhanger. It is not a bad show but don't đ expecr a great storyline or whatever quality . It is a show better than most of the trasjh on tv these days. The campiness/cring is not as bad as the Va* True Blood . Infact if you liked True Blood then you may like this but if you hated True Blood then this one is a more enjoyable Witches/Werewolves show. I thought S1 was most well written and acting was decent to good. Alyssa was annoying character but actress was goosd . S2 the story /writing gets slightly more convoluted but the S2 ending left me wanting to see more in the story threads they created within the episode. It all makes sense messily and I tgink the writers were confused as to whether to expect cancellation/renewal as it feels like both depending on which character you folleow .I reccomend watching S1 as a complete story arc but S2 if you just want to spend more time with certain characters. Spoiler : Alyssa gets more annoying, Lilith is not in all episodes S2 but otherwiswe passes the time. I did not hate any episid* . I have watched worse aNd more boring sjhows - this is good show shame about cliffhangar ending. It needed a closured end.
It's really bad but somehow I love it!
Just meh dont find the actors so good............
meh.. pretty cheesy, below average acting, below average scripting, decent story, shitloads of plot holes.. overall : not worth my time. 5/10
Good enouph to watch on Netflix... the story was in my opinion good, the special effects were good, but some characters should have been better casted.
I'll drop the second season. Have fun people
I mean it's not bad, but not as good as like the Originals or the vampire diaries but lm waiting for the next season so.......
this show really is 50% gray, its not that bad but not really good either. its worth 10 episodes, but if it was 22, i would have stopped around half way through

Not alot to say about this one, don't expect too much. Just watch this when you're home tired from work/school and don't want to use your brain.
