Oh no, Alma! that was so heartbreaking!!! Alma wasn’t the “perfect” mom and they didn’t have a traditional mother-daughter relationship, but she loved her and supported her so much!!! I loved when Beth used to tell her all about a game and even tho Alma didn’t understand it she would always listen and care.
I want to cry, this episode broke my heart! Still an amazing episode though, I can’t wait to see what happens next for Beth
Absolutely insane. The way they characterize the Russian as some cold robot-like player who shows no personal thought for his moves is amazing. And of course Beth’s mom dying in Mexico City was super unexpected . I cannot wait to see where Beth goes from here.
Sad ending I'm a bit dissapointed that Alma never talked with Beth about her daughter, she was only mentioned once.
Another tremendous episode. This is a great show and the cinematography is amazing!
Great episode!!! The games were amazing and that ending... I figured it would happen eventually but not here and now! In the short time Alma was Beth’s mother, they really bonded and she left a lasting impression on her. I really liked the relationship between them, so sad it was cut abruptly
