The Real O'Neals 2016

The show for the most part was good until tonight because within minutes it had a biphobic comment. I did not appreciate it. Bisexual people are just regular people too and to state that we are "even worse" for a joke is not okay. Yes, it's just a tv show and for what it is sure it's good. But this was not a good moment for me and once again here's a joke that is hurtful saying that who I am is bad. Yes, it's just a show and I don't have to watch, but it needs to be said. This is not okay. We're supposed to be accepting of each other, not state that one is worse because of who they are.

Actually funny which is truly miraculous for a network family comedy in 2016.

Season 1 was mildly entertaining, but Season 2 digressed into a wasted opportunity. Could've been a humour-infused portrayal of coming-out during teen years, but instead turned into a homogenized collection of generic gay portrayal. Throw a gay, transgender, and transvestite into a blender to create a single character... sprinkle a lesbian on top, and you have The Real O'Neals. Would like to see Netflix do their version of a similar show ;-)

This show's strongest point is the O'Neal family. Each character is well fleshed out, 3-dimensional and, most importantly, defy their archetype. It's a great show with strong characters and exceptional family interactions. Totally recommend if you love character driven shows.

After watching the entire season 2 I can tell this show was a total waste of time! I had such high expectations about it but they failed! Scripts were weak, the overall story was promising at first, then as the episodes went on screenwriters didn't develop any credible portrait of the main character or the entire family... Such a shame!
