Didn't her younger memory-versed self account for the possibility of her using both keys? It's what anyone curious would do, open them both. They should draw it back to that choice more, when she went back for the second box, and make it thematically relevant.
Filler episode. I can skip 98% of the episode. It is getting better but this episode was sooooooo slow. Ended up FF’ing majority of the episode.
