LING KA YAN has never been in a relationship and she tends to fantasize about love. When she brings the dog JACK back to her pet shop, she misconceives that the lifeguard YAU CHI WING has stolen her soft drink. On the other hand, DON the very money-minded guy also meets the comic artist SASA because of a bottle of soft drink. YAN learns that her neighbor LOI HEI tries to commit suicide after being fired. WING saves HEI in an unconventional way and YAN’s father SHIU KAI, a retired policeman, is not satisfied with his style of dealing things. SASA tries to lock her boss up in the toilet for she cannot meet the deadline but she mistakenly locks up DON. DON loses the chance to sell his problematic products on time and his company closes down. However, DON misconceives that SASA has saved his life… DON tries to sell his products on the street while SASA is staying in an upstairs cafe nearby.… ...
After reporting the case to the police, WING walks YAN home and YAN suddenly has feelings on him. SASA meets DON again and realizes that DON is being sued for infringement act by selling the problematic products online. DON has to pay a compensation of 400 thousands dollars and he doesn’t know what to do. Luckily, his father MAU saves him. YAN hurts her ankle while walking home and her dog JACK brings WING to her. JACK picks up a mobile phone accidentally and YAN discovers that this mobile phone belongs to WING. YAN realizes that WING is hanging out with gangsters. DON successfully convinces KK’s father to allow them managing his coffee shop. SASA reveals the truth to DON and DON scolds her angrily. On her way home, YAN finds that some people are attacking WING on the street. WING is injured and YAN takes him home.
YAN stays at WING’s home overnight for taking care of him. DON and his three best friends try to promote the coffee shop by utilizing their charm but SASA criticizes them harshly. DON asks his younger sister ELLA to write some positive comments about their coffee shop on the internet but SASA makes negatives comments on them. SASA and her friends go to fight with DON and his team. One of SASA’s friend JUILE works as a flight attendant and she is interested in the coffee shop owner’s son KK… DON finds that SASA jumps into a Rolls-Royce with a middle-aged man and he discovers that this man is the tycoon WONG WING FU. He misconceives that SASA is the daughter of FU but the real daughter of FU is SASA’s classmate JESSIE. SASA’s father WONG KAM actually sells fish in the food market. DON misconceives that SASA is a rich girl and he decides to pursue her.
YAN learns that WING is going to visit the most important woman of his life and she follows him secretly. WING discovers it and he asks her to buy gift for the woman. This woman is actually WING’s grandmother LILY who lives in an elderly center… The hardworking KK suddenly takes day off and his friends realize that he is dating with JUILE. DON asks his friends to help apologizing to SASA and they reconcile with each other. SASA is in lack of inspiration for her new comic story and her friends suggest her to get inspiration by dating MARTIN. DON asks her sister ELLA to pretend that she is his girlfriend. ELLA dumps DON in front of SASA and SASA is sympathetic over DON’s “misfortune”. LILY asks YAN to shop for her. She tells YAN all about WING and reminds her that men think differently from women.
JADE’s mother PO CHI wants to prevent YAN from falling in love with WING. She tries to introduce a man to YAN but YAN escapes secretly. YAN doesn’t know that CHI is trying to introduce the man of her dream, Dr CHING YAT LONG, to her. SASA takes the initiative to date MARTIN. DON tries to prevent them from dating by blackening SASA’s name in front of MARTIN. YAN reminds WING that he has a date with her on his birthday but WING tells her that he has other plan already. YAN is upset and reveals her resentments to him. YAN goes to do voluntary works and she discovers that Dr CHING is one of the volunteers as well. SASA meets ELLA on the street and she realizes the truth. Dr CHING invites YAN to a dinner party and YAN feels extremely flattered. WING works hard to finish a job for his friend and he rushes back to Hong Kong on his birthday. DON also has the same birthday as WING.… ...
DON and SASA become lovers under the wishing tree. WING also declares his love to YAN at the same place and YAN feels extremely sweet for this is her first love. On their first date, YAN is surprised that WING brings her to a friend’s gathering. KAI and the others misconceive that YAN is dating with LONG and CHI persuades YAN to work in LONG’s clinic. YAN agrees to work for LONG and she asks JADE to keep the secret for her. KAI further confirms that LONG is YAN’s boyfriend. Trying to get more inspiration for her comic, SASA tortures DON all the time and DON endures it all. WING helps somebody to capture the thief on his way to a job interview in a security company. He is late for the interview and KAI the security supervisor refuses to interview him. SASA reveals to MARTIN that DON was telling lies about her in front of him and MARTIN starts a quarrel with DON.… ...
Everybody urge YAN to separate with WING but YAN insists to stay with him. SASA goes to DON’s home. She pretends that she wants to apologize to him but she actually wants to unmask the fact that DON and ELLA are brother and sister. SASA continues to be sassy and she even asks DON to buy sanitary pads for her. DON is being tortured by SASA all the time. JESSIE feels sorry for DON and she gradually develops feelings on him. KAI accuses WING for not having a stable job and he believes that WING will not be able to take good care of YAN. WING later finds a job as a waiter in DON’s coffee shop. On the other hand, LONG declares his love to YAN. YAN reveals to him that she has already got a boyfriend and LONG is heart-broken. While dating with YAN, WING suddenly runs away angrily after receiving a phone call. YAN follows WING and discovers that he is trying to hit a middle-aged man. This man is actually WING’s father SAI FAN.
YAN visits LILY in the elderly center and FAN appears again. LILY reveals to YAN that FAN has done a lot of bad things in the past. FAN comes to visit YAN and YAN decides to help him reuniting with WING. DON and MARTIN reconcile with each other. SASA suddenly arrives to stop everybody from watching a soccer game. DON is enraged and he wants to separate with her. SASA tries to provoke DON by behaving impolitely at his home but MAU and all other family members try their best to tolerate her… FAN visits WING at the coffee shop but WING warns him not to visit him anymore. FAN therefore runs to YAN for help. YAN persuades WING to give FAN another chance and WING eventually agrees. FAN suddenly asks YAN to lend him some money. YAN borrows the money to him but she doesn’t know if she should tell WING about this…
FAN comes to YAN to ask for money again after a few days. YAN discusses the matter with CHI and CHI believes that FAN is cheating. DON drives SASA to the countryside to watch the sunset and they start kissing each other passionately. HAN goes to the outlying island to visit SASA after quarreling with KAM. DON meets HAN and he misconceives that she is FU’s wife. He tries to please her in every way and HAN invites him home for dinner. DON comes to SASA’s home and he finally realizes that JESSIE is the real daughter of FU while SASA is only the daughter of a fish seller. He doesn’t know what to do and he tries to avoid meeting SASA again. WING visits YAN at the pet shop and CHI treats WING badly. WING questions YAN and discovers the truth eventually. FAN tries to borrow money from YAN again. YAN unmasks his lies and leaves. WING tries to borrow money from the creditors in order to return the money to YAN.… ...
SASA doesn’t want to put DON’s story in her comic but her boss is giving her huge pressure for new story ideas. DON has been avoiding SASA ever since he discovered that she is not rich at all. WING persuades DON to separate with SASA. WING asks FAN to return the money to YAN. He escorts FAN back to the hotel but they met KAI there. KAI misconceives that WING is trying to cheat YAN with FAN. DINO lies to SASA that DON has got cancer. SASA misconceives that DON wants to separate with her because he truly cares about her. KAI suddenly gets a heart attack on the street and WING sends him to the hospital. KAI asks WING to separate with YAN in the hospital. WING decides to study interior design and YAN is pleased about it. KAI’s old friend YAU KUEN comes to Hong Kong to visit YAN. He recognizes that WING is the person who made his daughter YUEN CHING disappeared…
KUEN tells YAN that CHING and all her savings had disappeared after traveling to Japan with WING. He suspects that WING has killed CHING and stolen her money. WING doesn’t want to give any explanation for the case but he asks YAN to trust him. DON finds that SASA has made use of his personal stories to develop her new comic. He is enraged and decides to separate with her. LAM Sir is the one who investigates CHING’s case and he reveals to YAN that WING is a potential suspect. After the separation, both DON and SASA act strangely. JESSIE tries to console DON by inviting him for dinner. Her father misconceives that DON is dating with her. WING finds a new job eventually but YAN is losing confidence on him. YAN helps WING to tidy up his belongings and she finds some postcards from Japan. WING discovers this and he is enraged. The two of them start a quarrel with each other again…
After the fight, JADE asks YAN to stand firm by ignoring WING’s phone calls. On the next day, YAN gets a voice message from WING and learns that he is leaving for Japan. JESSIE wants to reject DINO and she asks DON for advice. When JESSIE meets DINO, she lies to him that DON is her boyfriend. WING has gone to Japan and YAN is out of her mind. While walking on the street, she suddenly has ringing in the ears and is knocked down by a pedestrian. CHI brings her to see the doctor immediately. While waiting for the medical report, YAN learns that WING is staying in Takayama of Japan. She rushes to Takayama immediately with tour guide MARTIN. FU wants to discuss future collaboration opportunities with DON. DON reveals to FU that he is not dating with JESSIE and FU appreciates his honesty. YAN finds WING at Takayama but she is injured again because of the ringing in her ears. On the other hand, CHI gets a bad news in Hong Kong…
WING tells YAN that he is looking for someone in Japan but he refuses to mention the details. Later, WING reveals that he is actually looking for CHING because he learnt that she is seriously ill… FU asks DON to quit his restaurant job and go to work in his company. While DON is considering the offer, JESSIE suddenly reveals her love to him. DON shares his difficulty with SASA and SASA persuades him to take the offer. WING and YAN go to Pak Chuen Village to look for CHING. WING reveals to YAN that CHING has got AIDS after separating with him. YAN finds that WING is a great man. They finally find CHING in a hostel. KAI rushes to Japan immediately after getting YAN’s medical report from LONG…
CHING refuses to get medical treatment in Takayama. YAN suggests that CHING could get treatments in Pak Chuen Village but she knows that CHING refuses to take medical treatments because of her. On DON’s first working day, his supervisor mocks him for getting the job because of JESSIE and DON is speechless. SASA’s boss keep on pushing her to draw obscene comic and she finally decides to quit. DON reveals to his friends that he still loves SASA even though she is not rich at all. YAN feels that CHING is hostile to her and she tries to stay away from her by going away for a phone call. YAN calls home and learns the terrible news from JADE. YAN’s ears start to ring again and she collapses. When YAN wakes up, KAI has arrived at the hospital and he insists to bring her back to Hong Kong…
YAN goes for a body check again and it is confirmed that she is suffering from nasopharyngeal carcinoma. YAN is deeply shocked. She doesn’t know if she should tell WING about this but she pretends to calm in front of everybody… FU wants DON to develop a relationship with JESSIE and DON doesn’t know what to do. He reveals to his friends that he only wants things to go naturally. YAN starts to take medical treatments but she dare not revealing the truth to WING. WING delays his return schedule since he wants to help reuniting KUEN and CHING. YAN is sad. Trying to hide away her sickness from WING, she acts coldly when talking to WING and WING finds her strange. SASA learns about the rumor that JESSIE is dating with DON and she feels down. YAN suddenly feels seriously ill at home. KAI is startled and he brings her to the hospital immediately. YAN misses WING’s call again and WING feels suspicious…
After a series of medical treatment, YAN is getting better and better. WING calls back and tells YAN that he will return to Hong Kong soon. YAN is overjoyed and she believes that all the bad things will be over. However, YAN suddenly suffers from body cramping before WING returns. It is discovered that YAN has inherited her mother’s incurable disease. WING returns to Hong Kong eventually but he finds that YAN acts coldly to him. YAN claims that she cannot forgive WING for paying too much attention to CHING and she wants to separate with him. DON decides to start a relationship with JESSIE. All his friends are very supportive towards this decision and they bring JESSIE to meet DON’s family. SASA has been accepted to study in an Art school in Japan. Encouraged by HAN, SASA makes up her mind… LONG finds YAN is very depressed and brings her to a cancer patient sharing session.… ...
YAN and WING is separated but WING doesn’t want to give up. He tries to touch YAN by focusing on his career whole-heartedly. YAN believes that she will forget WING as time goes by but WING’s emails are touching her again and again. SASA decides to go studying in Japan and DON feels uneasy. JESSIE and DON go to buy present for SASA together. DON is reluctant to part with SASA. During SASA’s farewell party, DON seizes every chance to stay close to SASA and JESSIE watches him sadly. JESSIE drinks crazily on that evening. After getting drunk, she blames SASA for playing DON. DON doesn’t want SASA to go and he sends her an SMS. However, JESSIE discovers the SMS and she deletes it secretly… WING becomes the champion for a design contest and he rushes to tell YAN about the news. YAN reveals to WING that she has fallen in love with LONG and WING is shocked.… ...
YAN is heart-broken and she refuses to go for an important surgery. KAI rushes to WING’s place desperately. He reveals the truth to WING and begs him to help YAN. YAN’s surgery is successful. As requested by YAN, WING promises that he will not see her again. DON is sick. JESSIE visits him and MEI KUEN misconceives that she is DON’s new girlfriend. On SASA’s departure date, DON runs into her on his way to work. DON drives SASA to the airport but both of them are reluctant to express their true feelings towards each other. DON realizes that he truly loves SASA and he decides to send in his resignation to FU… HEI reveals to YAN that WING has quitted his job and is indulging himself in alcohol everyday after separating with her. They consult LONG and LONG suggests that they could try artificial insemination. DON gets a business opportunity from Japan. Coincidentally, the meeting place is the city where SASA is staying. DON returns to Hong Kong and he decides to separate with JESSIE. He then rushes back to Japan to look for SASA. YAN suddenly suffers from epilepsy after getting pregnant. LONG discovers that YAN has got a brain tumor again and he wants to carry out an induced abortion for YAN. YAN insists that she wants to keep the baby. WING is deeply touched but he is heart-broken as well. DON finds SASA but SASA claims that she has got a new Japanese boyfriend and she is already pregnant. DON calls MARTIN for advice and MARTIN believes that SASA’s baby belongs to DON. DON rushes back to Hong Kong to look for SASA. SASA scolds DON angrily and she suddenly wants to give birth. Coincidentally, YAN is going to have a Caesarian operation at the hospital. DON meets WING at the hospital and both of them are going to be a father soon.
