It's rare to see an episode where a main character has to grapple with the fact that they'll die, and this one did it pretty well.

Despite Homer seemingly not putting a ton of thought into his family, but this episode helps reveal that he actually cares quite a bit about it.

“One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish, Blue Fish“ is a quality episode that sees Homer deal with what he believes to be his final 24 (or 22, thanks to Dr Hibbert) hours on earth. While I very much enjoyed this one, I can't help but note that we all know Homer isn't going to die, which somewhat lowers the emotional stakes. Also, outside of the scenes at the Sushi restaurant, this one isn't particularly humorous. In saying that, I liked how Homer didn't tell anybody (other than Marge and his drinking buddies) about what he thought to be his impending death, which I felt was a nice touch.

Overall, pretty good, though not the best so far.

I remember I enjoyed this episode when I first saw it over 25 years ago, and I still enjoyed it today! The scenes in the sushi restaurant are really funny lol.
