I finally know where that monorail soundbyte cinemasins uses came from.

The surprise Spock was nice, and Lurleen getting a mention was also good.

Couple of good jokes too. Pretty good episode overall.

"Marge vs. The Monorail" is another high-quality Simpsons episode that sees the level of absurdity for the show reach new heights. Lyle Lanley is a highly memorable character, though it's hard not to think of Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure whenever he talks, all voiced by Phil Hartman. While Marge's plot about unravelling Lyle as the fraud he is doesn't amount to much, it does make for some solid gags, and this episode is a non-stop gag fest. If anything, the plot almost feels secondary due to the number of jokes seemingly crammed in. But when the jokes are this funny, it's hard to complain.

Overall, a great episode that could have been even better.

Mr. Plow, Lisa's First Word, Homer's Triple Bypass and Marge vs. the Monorail is one hell of a few episodes back to back!
