When Harry Corbett decides to visit a stately home, he is more than a little surprised to find Sooty as "Lord of the Manor". But Harry soon realises - to his cost - that this is just another of Sooty's money-making schemes, in which he is aided and abetted by the old family retainers, Butch the butler and Sue the perky parlourmaid.
School is out and Harry is helping Sooty with a mathematical problem in his homework. With the help of Sweep and Butch they get to the core of the problem, but in the end, it is Hary who gets the pip.
After homework, there is the low-speed quiz of children's television: UniverSooty Challenge. Sooty keeps score with Sue and Sweep, and Butch and Ramsbotom in opposition.
