A slow, but interesting start. If i remember correctly, the first season was also a slow burner, with a satisfying ending. I am excited to see this story unfold, as i'm not familiar with the Japanese religious culture

This looks great and features what I think is some really solid acting. Problem is, I don't understand the source of the paranormal threat. I like the exploration of this early World War II period.

I have a really good feeling about this season of The Terror. I'm mostly interested by the bakemono aspect of the story as well as the time it's taking place in. So far, I'm having flashbacks to Takashi Miike's Imprint for the Masters of Horrors anthology series which I still own the DVD of, except the other way around where this time it's the Japanese that go to America. I can't wait to see more! :ghost:

This is is much more genre-y than the first, and also clearly written for the screen rather than very richly adapted from a book. Still enjoy it though, and man that scene of "You're a citizen, boy. You were born here. Show them you're a patriot. Fight for your country." is some reverberated-through-time gut punch.
