it's like a car crash, you just can't look away. and just when you think you've figured it out, it twists. I'll be happy when I get closure
This show is framed as an “experiment” like Love is Blind however, it’s clearly a show set up to put people/couples in situations where they’ll fight with each other and cause drama and heartbreak.
That said, if you like trash reality TV you’ll probably enjoy the show. That’s why I’m watching, it’s not my relationship in the line!
I'm embarrassed that I enjoyed this. You know, reflecting on ones own choices …
Shanique sounds like "an unique shagging", how can you be so cruel to your child?
I rate it "girl...and boy wants Colby" out of ten
PS these are not real people, they are all actors
The Ultimatum is is your generic TV drama that unfortunately pins couples differences up on the wall for the millions of Netflix viewers to see. This show actually made me feel bad for these participants. If you have issues with your loved ones, sort it out with your loved one, don't broadcast your flaws on Netflix for millions to see because odds are it won't fix the problems. If you like seeing generic people in self inflicted distress, you will love the ultimatum!
All in all, this was an interesting "experiment" to watch. Much like Love is Blind, this show tests people seeking love and marriage under unfamiliar circumstances, and there are some interesting conclusions and sociological lessons to learn (besides, naturally, this being a reality that is, to some extent is much probably rehearsed, guided and very edited).
I didn't like the fact that they let couples just opt out at the beginning. I was feeling sympathetic toward April's reaction when she said that this was not the deal and they should not have been here at all. Two couples escaped the reality (literally), and it's no surprise that those were the two couples out of which there was 1-1 person that no one else wanted to date. When Nate learned that no one is going to pick him, he just proposed. And Alexis... maybe Hunter indeed just couldn't bear the fact that someone is going to date his woman, but no one wanted to date her, so at least he saved her from some embarrassment. And it's quite certain that Alexis is not 24-ish years old like the show claims.
There's a reunion episode just like in Love is Blind, shot 6 months after the show. That is good, because we instantly find out what happened to the couples, and there weren't many surprises there. In fact, I was surprised that Madlyn and Colby were still together and expecting. Good for them I guess? And Rae and Jake should definitely be together, as I suspect they kind of will or were after the Reunion.

I foresee a few people getting their hearts broken by the end of this show.
